First Article - To Level 20 And Beyond!

So there I sat. New to the game with what seemed like a lot to do. Clicking, working, fighting, and completing missions. There was a somewhat lacking tutorial but who pays attention to those.

That feeling of satisfaction was never more than a few clicks away. Level up! New fighting rank. New prestige step. Level up! New fighting rank. Quest complete! New fighting rank. Level up! Quest complete! It was great! I felt like I was going to conquer this game in what, at the time, I thought would be hours.

And then I hit level 20. Fight, fight, fight, fight, recover energy, fight, recover, fight, recover, fight, until I finally ran out of ways to recover. I check my exp bar - HUNDREDS of EXP left to go. Did I do something wrong? Am I supposed to feel like I just feel into the Grand Canyon of of needed exp? I figure I must have done something wrong or am not doing something right. I head to the Wiki and I read. I read some more and more and more. Ah Hah!

I did nothing wrong. I was doing everything I was supposed to. The only thing I was lacking... was patience. This game is meant to be slow. To be cultivated and played over months and years, not a few days or weeks. There are no shortcuts in the game. This game is not pay to win (unless you are insanely rich of course).

This journey will be long but I have finally found a game I can't power though in a short amount of time - something I appreciate more than most can understand. I will enjoy this game. To all of you (especially those who have already helped me out), you are an amazing group of people. I hope I can eventually call all of friends.
