Dear Bulgaria!

Day 1,087, 05:18 Published in Bulgaria Russia by Ministry of Foreign Affairs RU

This article, while not containing a single wrong word is probably the worst mistake I made as eRussian CP so far. While planned as a diplomatic background for eRussian population, it was misinterpreted and treated as a manifesto of the Betrayer. It is a bitter irony, that a bulgarophil like I am triggered the tensions between our nations. So I’ll try to explain the situation from eRussian point of view once again.

I am a President of a ghost country. A country that is beaten, tortured, stomped into dust for now. We don’t have many friends and eBulgaria definitely is one of the closest. You have given your last to us on numberless occasions and the list of our debts to eBulgaria is much longer than the corresponding list of eBulgaria’s to eRussia.

They say, that a friend in need is a friend indeed. We know that eBulgaria is really one. And you now think that eRussia, or at least its CP is not. But I believe, that there is “need” and “need”. If eBulgaria is in trouble, if its independence is threatened and if the enemy is at the gates, eRussia is there. We wouldn’t let you down under fire, no matter how wounded eRussian bear is. But situation with Bulgaro-Macedonian conflict is not precisely about that. It mostly origins from real life tensions and boredom. eBulgaria needs her own war. eBulgaria is bored and sick of fighting someone else’s wars. It strongly reminds me of eRussia this spring, when we also didn’t have any military action apart of supporting our allies, were constantly losing the population base and were absolutely depressed. Look at us now, we’ve had our “fun” for sure. And the definition of “depressed” has received additional depth. We are now fully dependant on our allies and their assistance. That sucks, speaking frankly. But the request for support from eBulgaria is not literally a call for help. It is more like eBulgaria is asking a crippled friend for a dance. But we just... can’t. As the President of my country, I have no right to sacrifice it on _this_ altar.

That’s why we don’t want to pick a direct side in the eM - eB conflict. We want to see both parties as our allies, however impossible it seems to be. The point of the article was which MPP(s) to sign next couple of days. And that’s where I failed. I failed to get that sometimes heart has reasons that the reason cannot understand. And that no matter how many words I write the only thing both parties will notice will be “eRus are signing macs and not bulgars”. Among the options “none”, “both”, “eM”, “eB” I picked what was and stays the most rational financially, but not the most suitable emotionally - sign macedonians now, since they guaranteed they aren’t going to attack and sign bulgarians as soon as the menace of them starting the war (and thus wasting the MPP) is gone. eRussia, once swimming in golds now has to be very picky about expenses. But the logic of this decision is outbeaten by its unsightliness.

This is my fault and I am personally responsible for that. That’s why as soon as we start the MPP with RoM, I’ll trigger the one with eBulgaria as well. I’ll pay the cost for the latter one from my own citizen's pocket. You can turn it down and invest 100g somewhere else if you believe we are not worth it. If we all fail to prevent the eM - eB conflict you can start the war with macedonians without having money spent on eRussian MPP. But I ask you passionately - change the direction of your conquest. eBulgaria has a lot of honour. Don’t force eRussia to spill the remains of hers.

Sincerely yours,
Mogaba, eRussian CP.
