Country Comparison 1

Day 1,506, 21:23 Published in USA USA by blondeninja

So this is my first actual article, I will do my best to tackle the ever changing subject of finances, oh where to begin. Well I thought i might start off by examining two different countries finances and comparing them, some are very similar and some have a completely different way of running their economy. I thought I would go with two of our ally countries first.

Germany vs. Croatia:

- Taxes:

Taxes, as everyone knows, are a necessary evil and however much we hate them we need them if our country is to be successful. Many different strategies have been used regarding this area of a country’s economy; some have less taxes some more. This will be a good area to start looking at when you analyze a country as it can say a lot. Here is a simple comparison between the two:

Germany:

Croatia:

It’s easy to see that Germany has much lower taxes in almost all areas than Croatia, whose import tax is so high it is almost impossible to make anything from imports. Where as Germany is mostly a lightly taxed nation with low import tax rates and little income rates as well.

- Resources:

Every country has a set of regions, each one of these regions has a resource associated with it that it “specializes” in. For the comparison I will stick to the original regions of each country. A country can also have a general resource that it is “known” for, this can be a motive for warfare, but I’ll leave that for a different discussion. Here’s a simple comparison:

Germany:

Croatia:

As you can see Croatia’s original regions never had any iron, aluminum or other raw material resource, only “food” type resources such as grain and fish. Germany has less “food” resources, but has regions with iron and aluminum.

I will leave the political and war motivations/anylizations for those writers. This is my first ‘true’ article and suggestions are welcome, I hope this could prove useful/interesting, thanks for reading!!
