Larni Kaddlestorm stands at the lectern, on her right shoulder is Cerb, Command and Chief of the Australian Armed Forces. Jasper Ferguson, a new dropbear recruit stands to her left and the towering Si Botak stands behind her. All three wear the drop bear uniform while Larni is in a plain black uniform bearing both Australian and Imperium Australis logo’s.

“When I was young my father used to come to me often and speak words of wisdom. He taught me a great many things but perhaps his greatest lesson is the simplest. Never surround yourself by weaklings.” She glances left and then right and smiles, “I understand his words now more than ever.” The camera pans across each of the cold hard expressions of the elite soldiers of eAustralia.“A leader must have objective voice, those who will stand against you but who’s belief in the cause and loyality is unquestionable.
Larni, he said, never be so caught up in your own goals that you refuse to listen to the voice of experience.”She smiles and nods her head,“As usual my father is right.

It gives me great pleasure to officially announce to you my candidacy for the Party President of the Australian Military Party and our new policy platform.

Military Efficiency and Support
The war module is one of the dominant aspects of eRepublik, and a country's ability to thrive economically and politically is closely linked to its ability to wage war.
This party advocates the consistent, responsible use of all necessary funds to 'rank up' our citizens and organize them to battle.
In a world of empire building we must prepare to take the next step. To move out of the sandpit and into the school yard.
This is the number one priority of the Australian Military Party.

Winning the game > Roleplaying
In certain areas, roleplaying is fun and harmless. However, it also has the potential to damage a country's military strength and/or efficient operation of government. This party endorses game mechanics above roleplaying in situations where the two come into conflict.
Many nations (Spain, USA, Canada, Russia) learned from being invaded that roleplaying needs to take a back seat to game mechanics. If any eNation wants to become a world power use of the gameplay must reign supreme.

We will play to win, not simply hope to be on the winning side. It will be a long process and through the game we will take one step at a time however we will NOT be content with simply surviving in the shadows of the superpowers. We will become one ourselves.

It is imperative that we utilize the game mechanics and that our people themselves learn them. It’s all well and good to play leaders and soldiers in a role-playing community but actually fulfilling the titles we are given through gameplay and understanding the dynamics is another beast all together.

Support for EDEN
Sol was a novel concept, but is poor in practice. Loyalty to the rest of the alliance is clearly not enforced. An example of this is the recent actions of South Africa. Sol doesn't have any heavy hitters that would make EDEN or PHOENIX take it seriously.

If Australia wants to play with the big dogs, it's time to join EDEN. Through our membership of EDEN we will ourselves grow, as politicians, as soldiers, as a nation.

We wholeheartedly support the President in his attempt to push the legislation for joining EDEN through as quickly as possible. Any senator opposed is openly questionable as to their intent, their role in the government, and their understanding of the needs and wants of the Australian people

Monetary Policy
Government transactions must be used to peg the AUD to a fixed rate. This free float is not getting any us anywhere, and results in inconsistent prices for goods (as well as wages).

As we expand towards the horizon many new and fresh opportunities will open up for the entrepreneurs of our nation. Only a fool would make empty promises without guarantees so I will not. However I trust you all can see the implications of what our goal is.

Immigration
Welcome EDEN immigrants. Utilize their experience. Get them involved. Cerb, commander of the highest station in our armed forces was himself an immigrate, so was our President. We wonder what other potential lays waiting in the endless lines for citizenship approval?

There was an veteran eUS Cabinet member, Senator, and military leader who citizenship took two weeks to come through. This is Unacceptable and MUST be fixed immediately.

We understand that in wartime there is sometimes a need to completely freeze the intake of people coming into our country. This is obviously a wise move however there needs to be a case for special dispensation. Legitimate requests for citizenship do not simply cease because there is a war on.

For four weeks the list has been growing and soon these people will go elsewhere. This is not good enough.

There are a massive number of people seeking to join our great nation, a whole plethora of future Australians. Amongst them will be future drop bears, senators, Presidents. Having them wait endlessly will see many simply turn aside and take their experience and enthusiasm, essential to our growth as a nation, elsewhere.

Citizen Education
Baby booms + citizen education are CRITICAL. They are the reason for just about every major country's rise to prominence in eRepublik. We MUST devote more people, time, and resources to bringing in new people, and giving them reasons to stay.
The Australian Military Party will devote our members directly to this and I myself will lead them.

We will inspire activity and encourage even the newest members of eRepublic to reach for the stars. I myself am barely a month into public life and look at me now. Look at the changes that have occurred since I arrived on the stage.
Where as other parties are too fixed in their rules and regulations to allow new members a voice, the Imperium Australis- AMP is a different creature.
We are the voice of the people and the future of this nation.” Larni smiles at the camera, “Imagine being new to the world and immediately befriending a Drop Bear. Is that not an inspiring thought for the future?

Once more I invite our soldiers and anyone interested in joining with the AMP to return home and assist us in creating the Empire we are destined to become.”

Taking a breath Larni glances at Cerb who offers a dry smile and nods slightly, knowing how uncomfortable the next part will be.
