Today, at 3:49 AM EST Tantis, a former eCanadian Prime Minister, proposed an impeachment against our current President Jacobi. The impeachment breaks Congressional procedure which automatically requires Congressmen to vote no in the event there is no discussion and the Speaker of the House has not given the go ahead to propose in-game. While I can at least see that Tantis is brave enough to attach his name to the bill, there are as of this moment nine Congressmen who have voted in favour.
I disagree with anonymous voting in our legislative assembly. I believe we are elected by the people to represent the people and hiding our intentions is both cowardly and a violation of democratic principles. This is why I publish my record. I have published two installments so far which record each and every law proposal. I have gone so far as to record my entire Congressional record in my last article. I know I can be proud of what I have achieved.
Now then, nine Congressmen…There are nine Canadian Congressmen hiding their intentions and meeting in dark alleyways. I believe they don’t, or at least some don't, have the courage to declare their vote. I believe I know at least one of them, but I won’t name him. That’s up to him. So, yellow-bellied Congressmen! Who are you? Will you live silently in private shame?

And I fully agree on this matter, there are rules, and people cannot start breaking them just because it pleases them.

Its not just one person, and I thank you for not automatically attaching CPF to this. We have 3 congresspeople. And I can assure you that them voting for this isn't a guaranteed answer.

Banach: I don't know who is doing it and I wouldn't falsely accuse, or accuse without proof. Besides, CPF has so few Congressmen.
Nosyt: I have moved and the Speaker has agreed, that the tax changes put forth today shall be repealed if they are passed.

Just to clear up, to post a bill you have to ask the s[eaker of the house?
It's a part of Congressional procedure. Each bill must be discussed in the forum for at least 24 hours before being proposed in-game (or on the forum as the case may be). Then, the Speaker normally gives his consent and the bill is launched and we can vote here. It will all become clear if/when you're elected. 😉

I'm sure they'd come forth if they wouldn't be bitched at. Its private and confidential for a reason, people may administer prejudiced views upon them following this.
That's the thing, right? If you're ashamed of the way you voted, you shouldn't have voted that way. Simple.
The "bitching" wouldn't come from me, anyway. I have no harsh words for Tantis as he has at least the courage to put his name out there.
As of this moment, only Octavian_F has stepped forward and not on my paper. He likes controversy, so that's not surprising. Is there anyone else with a backbone?
