8 Years

Day 3,760, 11:59 Published in USA USA by Jdohring3

It has been 8 years and a day since I began playing this game. While I was most active for the first few years, I have still not stopped at my now goal. I am hoping to outlive all those whom are on my friends list.

What Have I Done?

Began my time attempting to learn how to play and got swept up with everything. This lasted until I got some direction in the form of joining a political party. It was fun for a while, I even ran the party for some time. But all things do end, and my friends list slowly filled with the dead citizens of my former party members.

I continued to stick in the community though, staying in one of the lesser parties while I began to focus my efforts on the military side of eRep. This lead me to joining up with the eUSAF and eventually Rogue Squad. However these too added more friends, and now they are also dead and dying.

I do not remember when I began working with the Mentor program, but it did lead to me obtaining new friends. However as you might guessed, it also lead to more of them dead.

I proceed to spiral as well, moving my way into 2 clicking.

What Have I Been Doing?
A small light at the end of the tunnel appeared, the stock market was put up. Eager to make some cash, and work the economic side, I put my company up on the market. This allowed me to expand my corp and start to actually produce weapons.

But then the stock market "crashed" or really collapsed while I was taking a break from eRep due to limited internet access. Upon returning, more dead citizens littered my friends list. So I continued to work on my corp, and just this past year finally got a Q7 Weapons factory. Not that I was not doing the economic stuff all along though. So something to look forward to for the new players. It took me 7ish years to get a Q7, that is with buying maybe 100 to 200 gold. I do not know the exact amount but I did spend about $60 around 2012/2013.

Why?
Due to eRep constantly changing and usual IRL things people have to do, people drop out of the game for a time. Some do return, while others disappear forever. The politics disinterest me now that the smaller parties do not make a difference in anything. You need to be apart of the big 5. The military stuff is dictated my politics, and I only care about it as long as i get my maximum bonuses to production. So the economy is all I work towards, my solo venture. But when do I stop, when I get tired of logging in every day, when the gold prices jump too high, or when weapon prices drop too low? No. I stop once all 88 friends I have are dead. Out of these 88, only 20 remain.

I will be the last to survive or the game will end, only time will tell
