"Working as intended" or how Plato puts us at disadvantage.

I would only like to enclose my latest ticket and ask you a question after you read it.
Could you justify a theft,
just because you have always been a thief
and have been stealing from everyone?
Cheers!

It ain't a bug, it a FEATURE! :/
You lose twice. First, your damage is rounded down, and then rank points. It affects all players, though, so it's not a problem. Some ranks may lose more than others.

Also, it really depends whether you have the elite citizen bonus or not, what your rank is etc.
Some players lose more than others.
In theft somebody gains and here nobody really gains. It just takes marginally longer to rank up.
the lost points because of the rounding up are not the same for everyone. that's the point.
118*4=472
you lose 0.5 points per hit.
112*4=448
I lose 2 points per hit.
or 4 times more.
The lost points are the same for everyone. You forget one obvious thing - I have earned my rank myself. I was your rank once, so at that time I was losing exactly the same amount you are losing now.
Rank up and lose less, if that is what you are implying.
Oh and btw - it is working as intended indeed, as the rank points have ALWAYS been rounded down, since the introduction of rank (or at least since 8 years ago). If you don't like it - quit already. Their game, their rules.
Plus it is one of the smallest thefts they are performing here, so do you really think someone would care?
imoen, you seem to forget the EC bonus that 'breaks the rules'.
a brand new account such as mine felt the harsh reality while making the first steps in the aircraft battles. some older accounts did not. the reason: EC bonus.
sure, they had played more beforehand. but if plato's idea was to create a balanced module where old and new players start equal, then he failed terribly.
not to mention that the 5% per rank up is not actually 5% for the aerial rank up formula. correct me if I am wrong, but it is fine in ground battles, isn't it?
so provided that both modules are incomparible due to the different formulas, why justify the unfair start of EC and non EC in the aerial battles?
The 5% rank bonus on ground is not at all 5% bonus (someone posted the formulas somewhere I cba finding them) it is much less. As for the EC - everyone can become EC, the fact you werent is your problem. The aerial module was introduced as something for the new accounts to do and not feel completely useless. No one promised them they will be useful or even on equal footing with the old accounts.
The idea where everyone starts equally was never Platos intention - note he never said such a thing 🙂
= 10 × (1 + S/400) × (1 + R/5) × (1 + FP/100)
I: Influence on the hit
FP: Citizen's firepower
R: Value of the Rank
S: Strength
Influence formula, used for both modules. However, it is not the same, due to the fact that "perception" is always 0.
Абе вий нормални ли сте? И двамата сте македонци пък си говорите на английски??

I always thought you were a RL American.
Nope, rl Bulgar 😁
We just never had the chance to speak long enough to bring it up.
Err... what booster are you talking about? Do you mean x2 accelerator?
yes, for some reason I always refer to it as a booster, although it is by no means a booster.
Yeah, I wonder what the "booster" in "acceleration booster" means.
throw money at the problem.
I ain't even surprised. 😃
They will not turn on perception or give anyone the correct math anywhere what makes you think they will fix this? when is everyone gona wise up and just come to the LOGICAL conclusion that the admins of this game are really out to get us... we are only playing for ourselves and i will not give them another penny till they turn on perception.
perception would only fuck up the game more.. unless they introduce it along with naval warfare

introducing perception will totally destroy the fragile "balance" between old and new players.
also, the word "balance" is not the right one, as there is no balance.
it is just that new players still have a ghost of chance to become something in the aircraft module as opposed to the situation in ground battles
right, because as a newcomer I want to continue to play with a 'ghost of a chance' in one narrow arena of a subpar game. some chances. I have a better chance at fun playing snake on my Nokia 3310.
anyway to OP, this 'feature' is especially for the dedicated base. you should be grateful for added clicks you'll need to make. you are having even more FUN!
introducing perception will totally destroy the fragile "balance" between old and new players. So says the totalitarian government in real life... dont let them have perception of what im doing in the background screwing everyone over let them be dumb and content... i say to hell with this notion and shine a light everywhere!
well.... what you expect? to have something reaaaaaaally outstanding for the players? no....
They are not working with decimals, unless its not about EURO's

Side note: I used the term "booster" incorrectly. What I was referring to is the "Damage Accelerator"
Interesting! It will not let me edit the article. Whenever I try to do that, nothing changes and the code becomes weird.

It happens to me for the very first time! And I have no problems editing my previous article (which was posted less than an hour before this one)
thanks, it worked.
I think it happens only when starting the title with a special symbol. In this case a "
I had exactly the same some time ago.
This happened for me as well. I think I had a workaround for this.
Do you see this before or after pressing the blue Edit-button?
After.
The code is just fine before pressing it.
I think you have to copy&paste the title before pressing Edit because for some reason, the title ist lost when starting to Edit.
They stole decimals from you and everyone else? Nobody gains a comparative advantage or disadvantage from this. The mechanic is literally the same for everyone.

it is not always the same.
It is potentially the same for everyone, depending on rank and elite cit bonus (and weps). Every AC, every GC used to be WC2 some time ago. And was in that situation. So I don't think there's any actual disadvantage.

That's nice, but without any respect to my response.
And sure, I would get to his position (rank respectfully) and lose the same amount of points.
But still - it is not fair and only makes the gap between him and me more unendurable.
no, i get your point. you are right. but still - doesn't justify plato's bullshit
>it is not fair
Why? People with a higher rank have been in the same position. People with a lower rank will be in the same position. It's equal for everyone, eRep doesn't selectively embezzle rank points based on certain criteria.
.. because not everyone became elite citizen at the same time.
Being elite citizen is a reward for achieving a certain milestone in eRep, it's not something you are by default entitled to.
I'm not going to argue whether or not this entire rankpoint thing should be changed - whether or not you get "decimal rankpoints": As long as it applies to everyone, I don't see the need to talk about fairness.
