[ULJ] ULJ Update: August '15 Week 2

Day 2,827, 11:17 Published in Japan Russia by shirosakura

Hello lollies!

I'm on mobile, so this will be a short update. But, just a few tidbits I wanted to share with everyone as the week gets underway.

First of all, there's a misunderstanding on our national policy that I need to clear up and apologize for, as I'm sorry if I've ever confused any party members with this. While the ULJ is friendly towards some of the policies of Tsunami, I need to make it clear that The United Lollies of Japan are not, and never have been, an official part of Tsunami. This means that we may deviate from Tsunami policy in the future and that we are free to make our own way in eJapan, but we're also going to remain in friendly relations with the rest of allies as well. This doctorine will be my first order as Party President, and all of the officers believe this will be the best arrangement for us moving forward into the future.

Furthermore, we will be returning to the primary system for elections in September. We will be allowing our members to endorse any candidate of their choosing for the upcoming Presidental Election. Member-driven politics is still our number one priority, and by doing this, we want to make sure we are empowering our members as much as possible.

Other news and tidbits:

- Speaking of elections, make sure everyone attempts to run for a seat in the Diet this month! Congressional elections are a show of our voter power and unity, and as the Constitution's ratification day draws nearer, the day that congress members regain their powers could be around the corner! Don't hesitate to run!

- Empress Day is underway, and I highly encourage all of our members to participate if they want. Empress Day is a storied tradition in our country, and it's been an important part of our culture for over half a decade. Don't be afraid to submit your candidate for Empress.

- Negotiations on the Sakura Constitution have officially began, and with that, it won't be soon before a new, revised document has made it onto the national stage. If you haven't given your thoughts on what it looks like, be sure to do so!

And that's all everyone! Until next time!
