[Swagg] Looking for a Home

Day 2,430, 08:42 Published in USA USA by Dio Salaar

This Article isn’t exactly spur of the moment, but its not exactly been a long time coming. Its somewhere in the middle.

Random and completely unrelated song that’s been stuck in my head all week. Click if you dare, totally safe for work.

One of the things that is really important to me, as an Erepublik player, is feeling at home. From late 2012 to early 2013, I felt at home in Rogue Squadron. I had a great experience there, and sometimes I really wish that I could go back to things being the way they were back then. Because it was fun. For awhile, I called the Ultramarines my home. Now I feel at home in Easy Company.

With political Parties, my home has been for the most part consistent. With the exception of brief stints in the UK and Australia, I have always been in the AMP. For the last 2 years, the AMP has been my home. I have served just about every position there is within the party, and I have met some awesome people and learned some great things.

But, I’m afraid I no longer think of the AMP as my home. I can’t explain what it is, but I am leaving now. I’m not harboring any bad feelings about the AMP. They have always been great to me, and will always hold a special place in my heart. But its time to go.

To the AMP

I hereby resign as AMP PAC Director
I hereby resign as an AMP Congressman, and now consider myself an Independent
I hereby give up my access to the Private and Party Member areas of the AMP Forums
I hereby give up my access to the AMP Private IRC Channel

But now, I would like to extend some words of thanks.

John Killah & Emdoublegee, thank you for teaching me this game. Thank you for being there for me as fellow players, and as friends.
Israel Stevens, Evry, & David Wilson, thank you guys for always being a wealth of knowledge and information, and for refining and honing what was taught to me by John Killah and Emdoublegee.
Piggy Boot, Dave Gulya, Officer Friendly, and BombSquad, thank you for giving me faith in the AMP’s younger guys. You are all awesome dudes, and I am very confident in your ability to someday take the reins of our party.
Greeling, thank you for always bringing fun to the IRC channels and forum boards.

Now, I find myself without a political party. So, to all other political parties:

Why should I join you?

I want you guys to convince me to join you. I will try my hardest to leave any personal biases that I have accrued over my two years as an AMPer behind. You all have an equal opportunity to recruit me. You don’t even have to be in the eUSA, as long as you can get me citizenship in whatever country you are in.

So go ahead eWorld.

Woo me.

Mr. Swagg,
Independent Politician
