[QLS] The worst love story of our generation - Part 3

Day 2,206, 16:28 Published in Philippines Republic of China (Taiwan) by Analia Arnheim

In case you're just catching this now, please read first the other parts:
* Part 1
* Part 2

I was debating with a friend whether I would try writing my failed love story with a girl we will hide in the code CM. That friend said I should try, since it is how I moved on in the past, but I am too shy to post it in a blog or in social media, so I decided to use media here in Erepublik, of which will serve as my sort of "test audience" on how people will respond (as comments or PM) to teenage love stories (Yes, I'm just turning 18, but my age had nothing to do with my administration skills). Besides, its been the holiday season.

You must understand though that I am hiding all of the persons' names in initials, including mine. Deal with it for now, because I have no time thinking of pseudonyms. They may hate me for this, you know?

But first, a quote, not really connected here, I think. Ferdinand Marcos told Imelda once:

"I dont believe in courtship. It’s a waste of time. If I love the person, I’ll tell her right away. But for you I’ll make an exception. JUST LOVE ME NOW, AND I’LL COURT YOU FOREVER."

Thanks for making this the top article in Philippine media for December 4, 2013. For that, I'd betray some photos now. 🙂

Stolen picture from 2nd year HS. CM was central in this photo, the one with the pink headband, and I, on the right, was actually following her on purpose because I don't know where the class was located. I forgot what school event was that, but it was taken December 2009. Of course, its low quality. Stolen eh. (Please do not misuse the image for bad intentions or purposes.)

There was this play in Teatro Marikina on Antony and Cleopatra, which requires only a reflection paper. Our whole class was coming, because there was an alternative project if thou shalt not attend. All, except me. If you had known me then, I was the guy who can share money to classmates (without return) but cannot afford a ticket for a play.

My parents won't allow me as well. So, I took the challenge of the alternative project. The project was to create a modern spin-off for Antony and Cleopatra. What else? Besides the modern twist, it had to be in the Philippine setting.

I read all about Antony and Cleopatra that I had access with, from history to Shakespeare's fictional tragedy. I began writing on January 17, 2010.

My classmates were like amazed I took on the alternative project, because there was a required minimum of 10 pages. I finished January 22 a short story with almost no dialogue, and it had around 12 pages, excluding the cover I made based on Code Geass and the character list.

I named the work Code Antony, Project Antony/2010. I think you can still search that in Google or any available search engine. I don't have to put how I did it, but I replaced the Battle of Actium in 31 BC with the Battle of Subic set in 1969. Close enough, I guess.

And then, after some of my friends read Code Antony, they sai😛 Gawa ka ng sequel, yung ikaw naman bida saka si CM.

Of course I was flattered, and thought of it. Soon, I had 17 pages as sequel. Little dialogue again, though, because that was supposed to be a rushed short story. I became half-Chinese (in replacement of Egyptian), half-Russian grandson of Antony in that spin-off, and she became daughter of the Russian (in replacement of Roman) governor of the Philippines (in replacement of Nubia, or Libya, or some other Egyptian client kingdom during the time of Cleopatra). Maybe, you also need to search on Antony and Cleopatra to understand.

And then, suddenly, my parents gave me money to buy a ticket. ODK. By that time, I finished the Code Antony R2 (told you its all too based on Code Geass), the sequel wherein her boyfriend, which I made a Russian general, was killed in a nuclear plant failure in Palawan, and we became us at last.

I attended the play.

Then, the following week, at break time, some friend pretended to read the parts 1 and 2 of Code Antony. But, he suddenly handed it to CM for her to read. Ito yung pinapantasya ni AR o. (AR are my initials, you get the idea)

I was like immobile on my chair until class began. I lost those two parts eventually, and I don't know if she really read it, but at least now, she should have known that I'm serious. Code Antony ended around March 28 of the same year with R9, wherein I concluded that I will not make a tenth installment.

The appeal of Code Antony was that I incorporated my classmates in the story. GS, my best friend, became a liberator. LV became a, well, my protege or something. Of course, CM there was my long time sweetheart. Batchmates from other sections, as well as seniors from 3rd year HS, were also asking me to include them in future installments. I didn't make any more sequel of Code Antony.

A strong reason behind this is the fact that CM's friends were telling me to stop pursuing her heart. Sila pa rin ng boyfriend nila at wala akong magagawa doon. I backed down, by that month of March, and pretended that I already let down the chase.

Actually, I did not. At least now you know there will be a sequel to this trilogy.

By that time also, the school year was about to end. And, well, I was like in heaven because that was the time she spoke to me for the first time. Siya pa lumapit! You could have expected something like, John Lloyd-Sarah lines from their last movie, or something really like that. No. Actually, this is what happened (memory fails me at this point, so this isn't verbatim):

CM: AR.
Me: Yes?
CM: Nagpasa ka na ng logbook kay Ma'am (adviser namin)?
Me: Um, oo. Bakit?
CM: Pirma ka dito sa attendance.
Me: Ay, sige.

Corny as it may seem, but for a guy who haven't spoken with his crush (love?) for some 9 months now, do you think I wouldn't appreciate it?

End of Part 3

This love story lasted 4 years, 5 months, 1 week, which actually just finished a few days back. Wala na nga lang munang spoiler. Part 3 only covered 2 months. I'm not sure if I'd finish it, though. I have a busy schedule. Still, if you want the subsequent parts, I shall do my best to write it for you. Sorry if I had limited pictures. Limited lang talaga eh. Wala tayong magagawa. I may still try to give some of her images in the following parts for the sake of writing and the readers' visual pleasure (though she might really hate me more for this). My Facebook friends, though, could try search who CM really is. Just don't be cocky about it without my consent.

Have a happy December ahead! And no, she's not Crystal Maiden.
