[POTUS] Here's WTF is going on

It is incredible how much has happened just in this term. When we kicked off, we were in the midst of an intense battle with Indonesia, which we completed successfully, capturing all of their regions and declaring me Queen by appointment as well as conquest. It was fantastic. I soon named Poland the Wardens of the 51st State (Hawaii Minor AKA Indonesia). They are now happily occupying the region and keeping the subjects in check.

We then turned our sights to the UK, who sadly suffered from a little premature domination and blew everything they had in the first battle. If you don’t know who the UK is, I understand. I tried doing a search for them earlier on the eRep map and it said ‘not found.’ The UK target was an interesting one, mostly because of the politicking that happened behind the scenes with our friends in Ireland and Finland.

On Christmas, I thought I was about to get the greatest gift a girl could ever wish for- Canada proposed us as a Natural Enemy. Sadly, their Congress shot it down. Such teases.


Domestically we launched the Air Shout Giveaway, which has been a great success. Shouting out air battles has become routine, so if you want to be a flyer you won’t miss out on important air battles. It’s also made our national discord channel just for #strikes a room that is frequently used and checked by many of our fighters and flyers. Our airborne units have been ranking up and have become more organized than we were just a few short weeks ago. We definitely had lower-level fighters who weren’t sure if they were ready to fully make the switch finally commit to being dedicated airborne!

Our national benefit programs, like Arm America, BU2SU and Meals on Wheels have all been streamlined this month and we’ve also seen a slight uptick in actual usage. It may seem weird for me to actively encourage you to utilize these programs. I mean, unspent money is a good thing, generally. But I want you to be active and involved. I want you to be plugged in and I want to make sure you’re getting as much out of the game ‘for freesies’ as possible!

DoCA has also been working all month on some new player guides, specifically for economics. We wanted to make sure it was accurate, thorough and most importantly useful to your average player. That should be available soon! I only have the Welcome Center left to update (it’s woefully outdated) and then I think I can check everything off my list for the term. It was very successful and even though there were some curveballs thrown in there, we didn’t lose focus on the month’s objectives.


Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. This was supposed to be a basic ‘this month was great let’s do it again!’ kind of article (I’m totally running for Dictator again), but there is currently a revolution going on. If you are unawares, chickensguys is a "banned" citizen from the eUS. He’s permanently blacklisted from Congress and doesn’t have eUS citizenship right now. He has a multi in the eUS that managed to get into Congress. So now he is starting a revolution to change our government from a Dictatorship back to a Democracy so he can grant himself citizenship, as well as other people, I’m sure.

This is not good news. It’s also not surprising news. This is what the terrible elitists suspected would happen the moment we saw his multi was on the Congressional roster. But the way the game is set up, we can’t really fight this revolution and win. We aren’t actually losing our country, or anything, though. Chickensguys doesn’t become Dictator if he wins, he just gives Congress the buttons that include the ability to grant citizenship...a power we would really rather not give to known multis of blacklisted players or unknown players, in general.

So for now, we are holding our focus on the UK militarily. I’ll keep you updated as things develop.

UPDATE: The revolution was successful and, as expected, he immediately granted himself citizenship. For the next 10 days, the eUS is a democracy again.
