[PMO] The Past, the Present and the Future.

Day 2,119, 05:37 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Dear Citizens,

It has been a fun few days in Australia. Not only have we had an in-game election that saw me returned for a third consecutive term, but we also witnessed the RL election, that saw a new government brought to power. It was on Saturday as I was watching Tony Abbott's election victory speech, that these words stuck to me;

"And a government that accepts that it will be judged more by its deeds than by its mere words... I am both proud and humbled as I shoulder the duties of government."

These words stuck to me for two reasons, firstly because even as I enter my third term, I feel that same weight of responsibility, to impact positively on the country and deliver it at the end of 30 days in a better state than that which I inherited. And secondly, because over the past two months many people have attacked my government for it's lack of information. The communication is non-existent. Well I aim today to set that right.

The Past:

The Government I have led for two months has delivered spectacular results. We have achieved great things and consequently had a positive impact on the country. Like everything we have our ups and downs, but at the end of the day I believe the results speak for themselves, and whilst I have not paraded them to you at every moment, I have tried to let them speak for themselves, but that is not enough apparently.

I said to you that we would integrate with TWO more so. We delivered that.

I said to you that we would sign on bigger MPPs. We delivered that.

I said to you that we would get our country back. We delivered that.

I said that we would take Java and rename it Scottty Town. We delivered that.

I said we would consider ADF Reform and act on the best course of action. We delivered that.

I said we would reboot and revive Centrelink for our new players. We delivered that.

I promised a good deal of very difficult tasks. We delivered them.

I am not bragging here, I am not parading our successes, I am simply showing you that your government is not idle. That we are not here promising the world and then standing back on our words. We are acting. And we are acting all the time, and as much as you think we enjoy the idea of occupation, we don't. We hate it as much as every single eAustralian out there. We want eternal Freedom, but it's easier said than done.

The Present:

Today I proposed the New Citizen Message, which is an effort to update the old message, which was broken due to changes in the game mechanics. I want to thank the education team for writing it up and getting it sorted for proposal. The Senate has voted and the bill will pass, this is a great step forward for our already thriving new player initiatives.

In other news today, I was sad to accept the resignation of our long-term Minister for Foreign Affairs, Tim_Holtz. Tim has served the past two terms under me and I want to extend my thanks and gratitude to his efforts. The Government wishes him all the best in the future.

Also, recently Dr Hugh Jardon and Claire Louise announced the launch of a revitalisation of Centrelink, rebranded the Joey Development Scheme. It is a brilliant proposal and something I totally approved of. The JDS aims to be more directed at the new player retention program than the term "Centrelink." You can read all about it here.

Speaking of articles, Nicky6Fingers in his debut role as Minister of Defence has already begun pumping out long awaited Defence Orders. Please remember to look out for them and fight accordingly as well as vote them up also so everyone can see.

Plus, I have aimed these past few days to increase Senate communication by forming an in-game message with Senators to ensure they are active in the Senate Forum and ready to vote on anything that I may propose. It's good to have senate active and working alongside the executive.

Lastly, I want to address an issue that has been surfacing lately regarding the ADF Reform. To clarify; ADF is ONLY for Divisions 1-2. It will supply you based off your fights. If you are not active, you won't be supplied. You must be in the MU to receive weapons. Please contact ADF Marshal Molly Jo if you have any further questions.

The Future:

Our biggest issue at the moment is balance. We have limited funds, and an expensive war. So let me ask you eAustralia, do you want Freedom or do you want Surplus? It is all well and good to demand liberation, but war is not cheap. We pay for Combat Orders and Weapons to be distributed to secure battles. We do so because eIndonesia is many times over our size. We are the underdog and we need the leg up. TWO fights for us constantly and prioritises our battles but we are apart of an Alliance; which means we are a team. It's not all about us.

Freedom or Surplus?

Moving on from the broader issue of war, Ronnyjnrjnr I am pleased to say has taken over as Minister for Education after Arolia's election as Speaker of the Senate. Ronny is a dedicated new player supporter and is definitely suited to the task. I have already spoken with him regarding the term and we're going to be pumping out articles as well as contacting new players constantly. It's something I am really pleased to hear. Expect some articles in the next few days and please remember to vote them up!

So that concludes this Prime Ministerial Update. Thank you for reading and thank you for voting. I hope that together, we can deliver a strong eAustralia.

Flatty
Prime Minister
