Day 3,095, 15:20 Published in France France by Diplomatie Francaise

Hello eWorld,

We come to you with a serie of articles we are starting that we will call “France isn’t only Paris!”. We’ve noticed most of foreigners know France mostly for its capital. Capital said to be a city of love, cheeze and bread. But hey! France has way more to offer and especially has way more beautiful places than Paris itself!

Today, we will start with the region named “Languedoc Roussillon Midi Pyrénées”:

This beautiful region surrounded by sea, mountains and rural landscapes counts about 2.7 millions inhabitants. Its biggest city is Montpellier, I’m sure this city rings you a bell as it is the city of the famous Remi Gallard !

Montpellier:

The climat is a mediteranean one therefor it is mostly hot and windy sometimes because of the wind coming from the mountains.

This region is very touristic during the summer. Why ? Well, who would want to go to Ibizaand have an empty wallet when you can go to these places for less !

Canet en Roussillon:

Argelés:

In all its different activities that this region has to offer, we can find good sports like Handball, Rugby but let’s focus on the FISE (Festival International du Sport Extrême), a very famous international extrem sports (MX, Skateboarding, Roller...) show that is hosted every years since 1997:

The variety of this region is just so awesome that it is as good in winter as it is in summer with its great mountains where people go Skying, Snowboarding or just enjoying the snow and the pleasure of walking into the Pyrenee.

The region produces some the good wines you maybe tasted and what we’re known for hehe, but also it has castles and caves to visit!

Grotte de Salamandre (this is a cave and I’m sure Batman migrated there when he saw how colorful it is!):

Fooooodz, yeah, everyone loves foods ! And if you are a sea fruit lover oh.. you will fall in love, as the region counts many ports, sea fruit meals are very common there so you can try some of the best oysters in one of its restaurants!

That is all for today, I hope you enjoyed this article, please let us know your feedback both about the article and what you think of this region. Do not hesitate sharing your suggestion to improve this serie of article.

I wish you a good day and to have fun!
