[MoCHE] Introduction and The Government! How It Works

Day 2,816, 08:42 Published in Japan Russia by shirosakura

Hello everyone! おはようみんさん!

はじめましてみんさん!わたしのなまえわアテーナさん。はたちです。しゅみわアトランタです。テネシーのだいがくでよんねんせいです。よろしくおねがいします! ^w^

(I admit, that took me way too long to write).

Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself and say hi! For the El Fat Padre Administration, I’ll be working with Dr. Jekica as part of the eJapan Ministry of Culture and History!

A little about me! My name is Athena (or Shiro), and I’m a pretty-much 21 year old delicate flower living in Tennessee of the United States, who just happens to also be a girl. I’m currently in uni studying Aerospace and Japanese and I do International Relations and Music on the side! :3 I’ve been playing eRepublik on and off since 2009, however, I’ve only been in eJapan for the past two months. Nice to meet you all!

One of the first things I wanted to do was talk to you guys about the government. After a recent conversation I was having with another citizen, It became aware to me that a lot of people didn’t know what the government currently looks like. I figured that, if anything, people should know that, as it’s important to have a little idea on what’s happening on a day-to-day basis. So, thanks to Silent Warrior for much of the information on the positions, I managed to put together this flowchart:

This may not be entirely correct, as it was pieced together through accounts, but this is a rough picture of how the current government operates. A lot of this may also not be accurate, as currently the Country President is allowed to shape it as they see fit. It breaks down as follows:

- Governor: Handles the collection of taxes and oversees the Economic Markets

-Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Handles the creation of preservation of Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) with other country. Acts as an Envoy to Nebula.

- Ministry of Defense: Organizes daily orders for citizens; Acts as contact with Nebula Military Command.

- Ministry of Cultue, History and Education: Ensures the propagation of Japan’s cultural traditions and the education of citizens about eJapanese and IRL Japanese Traditions

- The High Council: Brought forth and discussed major decisions. Approved or denied legislation

The roles themselves are fluid, and depending on workload and activity levels, they may pass from one department to another. But for the most part, this is how it looked.

For comparison purposes, this is how the proposed Sakura Constitution would look, since I’ve also received questions on that as well. However, it’s important to note that this document is not official, and still being edited.

*It should be noted the citizens currently ultimately elect the Shogun AND the Country President. Those are lines I forgot.

Remember, everything in this flowchart is subject to change. If any changes happen to the document, we'll be sure to let you know!

And that’s it for my first article! If you guys have any questions or comments, feel free to post them below! And thank you to Silent Warrior for making this possible.
