[Forward Bloc]Revolution - IV

Day 1,763, 05:34 Published in India India by Uv Ajed

Thought of the Day -"One individual may die for an idea; but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives. That is how the wheel of evolution moves on and the ideas and dreams of one nation are bequeathed to the next" - Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, President, Forward Bloc

Greetings my dear eIndians & eRepublikans,
First, I would like to Thank you all for your overwhelming support in choosing me as the Party President of Democratic Party of India which, many of you might have noticed by now, is now called the Forward Bloc. While the series of articles I was writing was meant to showcase 7 revolutionary parties of pre-independent India with the last part of the article dedicated to my vision about the formation of Forward Bloc in eRepublik, unfortunately due to time constraints and the upcoming Congress Elections followed by Country President Elections I am writing this article in advance, with that said, I promise I'll complete my series of the aforementioned articles which are yet to cover 4. Jugantar Party 5. India House 6. Berlin Committee or Indian Independence Committee and Finally
7. Forward Bloc.

The 5 Points to be covered under this article
1. Like a Phoenix: My history in DPI, and the necessity for Forward Bloc.
2. History of Forward Bloc in Real India.
3. Our Objective, Agenda, Symbolism and Constitution.
4. Structure of Forward Bloc in eIndia.
5. Road to Future.

Like A Phoenix: My Histroy in DPI and the Necessity for Forward Bloc
Warning: There's a forecast of heavy bragging. Inconvinience caused is highly regreted.
My second tenure in eRepublik started on February 3rd, 2012(I said second because I attempted to play the game for the first time in 2009 which miserably failed and I quit 2 months later). Though a noob, I was overwhelmed when some fellow demacrats & eIndians liked my writing and insisted me to run for the PP of DPI, the first party I joined in erepublik and of which I am still a worker. The elections proved to be successful and my tenure in DPI started with lots of new implementation and experiments, all of which can be still accessed in this Newspaper. Example: the road less traveled,2nd term and Life's but a walking shadow... For more you can keep scrolling in the Newspaper. When the party asked me for the third term I politely declined it, as back then I saw the necessity in involving new players and infusing new Ideas to keep up with our objective of ever evolving. Here I would like to add that DPI has always been a guardian and epitome of Libertarian and Democratic values. Unfortunately owing to some rl issues and in game government obligations, the PPs couldn't devote much time to our party, which further saw it decline in terms of numbers and activity. Thus it became a need of time to revive this fraternity in a best possible manner. I would give give my heartfelt thanks to "forter" for the wholesome effort he put into reviving the party, but unfortunately the political spectrum in which DPI lied before i.e. Libertarian Democracy was already taken over by the revived India United which was formerly a communist party named Indian Worker's Party. This revival sent an extremely positive energy across the whole eIndia and proved to be successful. Our idea of reviving DPI in a whole new avatar goes back to Alector's term as the Party President 3 months ago, unfortunately back then we could'nt. Now with a situation of an impeding war or economic crisis we saw it as a necessity to have Left Wing nationalist party on the ideology of our great Netaji, Subhash Chandra Bose and his dream of Azad Hind, inorder to instigate the nationalist feeling in every eIndian to do something for his or her motherland.
As of DPI, it'll stay alive in our heart, soul and mind, as long as our love for Democracy and Libertarianism thrives and One day, when the time comes, it'll re-evolve from it's ashes like a phoenix for an all new glorious beginning and a promising future.
But as of now, let's put an effort together for a new idea, an idea to relive the promises of one of the greatest martyrs & the son of soil, which to some extent remains unfulfilled, in this virtual world. While many saw my attempt in contesting for PP in various negative ways, thought of it as dictatorial due to my presence in government inspite of the fact that not a single time I shouted or Mailed anyone to vote for me, instead asked all to vote for Gaurav to save a eIndia from PTO attempt, some elements saw that in a negative manner too implying that I was trying to win the election by sending voters to other party and some saw conspiracy in it. Sorry guys, I don't care about your views, the election, golds or power, all I care for is my real motherland "India" and personally I won't ever let a Pakistani take over it, even in this virtual world. And As in the words of Rabindranath Tagore "Jodi tor Dak shune Keu naa ashe tobe ekla cholo re".

History of Forward Bloc in Real India

Note: unlike other articles i wrote about the real parties, I am going to keep this short due to other obligations, rather i am going to devote another article to the history of Foward Bloc
The Forward Bloc of the Indian National Congress was formed on 3 May 1939 by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who had resigned from the presidency of the Indian National Congress on April 29 after being outmaneuvered by Mohandas K. Gandhi. The formation of the Forward Bloc was announced to the public at a rally in Calcutta. Bose said that who all were joining, they had to never turn their back to the British and must fill the pledge form by cutting their finger and signing it with their blood. First of all, seventeen young girls came up and signed the pledge form. Initially the aim of the Forward Bloc was to rally all the leftwing sections within the Congress and develop an alternative leadership inside the Congress.

In August the same year Bose began publishing a newspaper titled Forward Bloc. He travelled around the country, rallying support for his new political project. The following year, on June 20–22, 1940, the Forward Bloc held its first All India Conference in Nagpur. The conference declared the Forward Bloc to be a socialist political party, and the date of June 22 is considered as the founding date of the party by the Forward Bloc itself. The conference passed a resolution titled 'All Power to the Indian People', urging militant action for struggle against British colonial rule. Subhas Chandra Bose was elected as the president of the party and H.V. Kamath the general secretary.Soon thereafter, on July 2, Bose was arrested and detained in Presidency Jail, Calcutta. In January 1941 he escaped from house arrest, and clandestinely went into exile. He travelled to the Soviet Union via Afghanistan, seeking Soviet support for the Indian independence struggle. Stalin declined Bose's request, and he then travelled to Germany. In Berlin he set up the Free India Centre, and rallied the Indian Legion. In August 1942 the British authorities banned the Forward Bloc. Its offices around the country were ransacked. In 1943 Bose was transported to Asia, where he took over the leadership of the Indian National Army. During the final phase of the war the INA fought alongside the Japanese against the British army.
Inside India, local activists of the Forward Bloc continued the anti-British activities without central coordination. For example, in Bihar members were involved in the Azad Dasta resistance groups, and distributed propaganda in support of Bose and INA.

Our Objective, Agenda, Symbolism and Constitution.

Our objective is to strive hard to be the strongest party of eIndia on the path of Left-Wing Nationalism.

The agenda is to nurture the future leaders, help the new players, reward the good work done by the party members and eIndians, establish a strong presence in the congress, prevent the PTO attempts by any foreign force and support a good Country President and a Central Government in all possible means. The party at the same time would criticize and put all efforts in overthrowing any elements involved in anti-national activities, including a Rogue Government.

2. So far Arawn has been doing a great job as the Country President and we may be looking into giving him another term. The decision of course will be reached by a general consensus.
3. Forter's dispatch program will continue for newbies and we will start recruiting members for the party soon. the new members will be sent guides and dispatch to help them grow.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
