Join the new world

Greetings citizens of eSwitzerland,

In my previous article I announced my intent to run for country president of Switzerland. There will be four articles, the first one being the announcement, this one the manifest, a third one with my cabinet and a final one on election day with some final words of wisdom. In this second article I will lay out my plans for the upcoming month and maybe upcoming months depending on how the month goes.

I know they aren't earth shattering or anything but I do have a clear vision of what I want for our country and what I want to achieve. I do not believe in making great promises because they are generally speaking hard to keep. As always becoming president is not be be taken lightly, it is a job that required that person to be around a lot and having enough knowledge of erepublik game mechanics. I will promise to take the job seriously and I will promise is to do my utmost in fulfilling my job and doing what is right for our country and protecting it against foes both external and internal.

As for the manifest for next month, I am hoping mostly for a quiet month in which we do not have air strike, revolutions and military takeover attempts. In foreign affairs there are a couple of things happen, plans and what is happening there I will explain further in my article.



This month I am Minister of Defense, I tried for the most part to post daily orders. Although I missed a couple of days (so far the month is not over). Coming month I would like to see the new minister of defense doing the same thing and posting daily Minister Of Defense Orders.

Another thing I would like to do is take another look at the Swiss Guard which seems to be very inactive at the moment and not receiving any supplies. I would look into option in changing that, getting some activity going and hopefully restore some sort of supply system where soldiers get supplies so they are able to fight. it is probably best to keep it to weapons to fight for and not a mix of food and weapons.

The last couple of months we've had a training war with Ukraine, this has been going on for a long time and I hope to continue this arrangement if the next president and his government is also willing to continue this training war. It has been very profitable for the people who are fighting in the training war with Battle Hero medals, Campaign hero medals and Freedom Fighter Medals.



Foreign Affairs Ministry of a country is one of the most important ministries together with the Ministry of Defence for a country, it can make or break a country. eSwitzerland barely has any foreign affair or relation with other countries these days. Previous and this month we have tried to get closer to Orion and it's member but with not much success. Although we did not really have people against joining nobody saw an advantage in us joining their alliance. As a small country with not a strong military it is hard to become a member of an alliance. That is why next month we will be working on relationship with other individual countries instead of alliances.

Slovenia has owner of the region Graubunden for a very long time now, we've done regular resets of the regions so to reset the determination of the region. Technically they are not renting our region, we do not get rent and we do not even get taxes for that region. Slovenia has Graubunden because of the food bonus and has advantage of having our regions we have have nothing to shows for it. Hopefully we can discussion with Slovenia about this and get a better deal then we have now and get some sort of deal about paying rent and getting the taxes of the region they are renting back.



Ministry of Education does a lot of behind the scene work not really visible for everybody to see. New citizens are contacted and offered help in any way possible. Ministry of Education is a great retention tool if done correctly and help people who originally would quit the game because of the lack of information would quit the game or would end up being two clickers being pulled into the game as an active citizen who add somethings to eSwitzerland. This ministry aren't miracle workers, 90% of the people who register for this game won't even log in or log in once and disappear, never to log in ever again. There is nothing that can do be about that and we cannot force people to keep logging in and keep player but we can help people who are interested in the game and who want to keep playing it and help them true the start of the game and help them. The Ministry will also post guides for new citizens explaining how things like for instance fighting works. We used to have a University of switzerland which had all the information one would need. I would love to see something like that again.



As long as nothing strange will happen the upcoming term there will be no big or strange expenditure and it will it be business as usual in the Ministry of Finance. With the limited income that Switzerland has out of their income with only three of our regions there is not much room to really do and spend more than we are already doing. The Minister of Finance will also keep the finance sheet and will spread the money on the market for some extra income, the last month we had between 20 and 30k extra income because of this.
