[EPU] What WE CAN DO

Day 3,885, 05:22 Published in USA USA by Cubby

With heavy heart I write this to announce that I am leaving We The People. Some will say “So what?” or “Who cares?” and indeed, I am mostly inconsequential. I like it that way sometimes. But this move is less about what I am doing, and more about what WE CAN DO. That’s why I’m proud to join PigInZen in building a new party, “E Pluribus Unum”, to provide a fresh start for the betterment of the eUS.

It’s been a number of years now that I’ve been a part of holding together We The People. Once a vibrant party with top-tier programs and infrastructure, we’ve become (much like the eUS community as a whole) largely apathetic and certainly ineffective.

Some of our members were once attracted to WTP because of its neutral political stance and the fact that everyone is welcome regardless of their political opinion. Never was there a party line, only tolerance for ideas and encouragement to be active regardless. This core ideal is what has kept me proud of WTP and the role it has played as a T5 party. Yet, I have not led well when I’ve had the opportunity, in regards to being an effective party and effective country. That must now change. I must lead, even if none follow.

The members of WTP are my friends. I wish not to leave any of them behind. Some may accept my invitation to join me in this move. Others may stay in WTP until their final click. All, I am glad to have served and hope to continue to be friends. This move to me is not about leaving something, but going somewhere. Furthering the idea that we can do better. Yearning for a party that is accepting, yet effective. Hoping that the baggage that I carry can be set aside to join others in a noble effort.

Friends in all parties, whether you choose to work where you are, or join us in E Pluribus Unum, will you pledge to begin a new day of politics and hope for our country?
Please join us.
