[Culture] Filipino Street Foods

Day 2,121, 08:28 Published in Philippines Philippines by Boy Pick Up

Greetings!

Well, as I went home from school today, I noticed a street food stall in the street near a supermarket. I told my uncle to stop so we could eat for I while. Then, it hit. Why not make an article about the street foods here in the Philippines. So, my first article in this term will be about the delicious street foods of the Philippines.

Sorry if I will not describe the taste, I don't know the taste of the others. Let's just say that some are sour and some are salty. It also depends on what sauce you will put on it. If sweet, sour or spicy flavor. I will also not include balot or penoy or whatever. I have a special article for that so stay tuned.

First up is the most famous fish ball! This is like the fish ball of Chinese countries except they are flat. This usually sells 5 pesos for 10 pieces, well at least in our place.

Next is the squid ball! I don't usually eat this so all I know it is not really made from squid. It is made from cuttlefish. If I am not mistaken, it is like 10 pesos for 5 pieces or something like that.

This next one is one of my favorites, chicken balls! This is made from real chicken (they say). It inflates when cooked and it deflates when set aside from the pan or wherever you want to cook it. Here, 5 pieces is 10 pesos.

I don't eat this one, so forgive me if I cannot explain it that much. So this is kikiam. It looks like light colored shit. I know the price depends on the size of each piece. They say it's delicious but for me, not worth the price.

So, these are the kwek-kweks that are usually colored orange but a school here in the Philippines tried to make it look all colorful and stuff. Yeah, it's pretty delicious. It has the same price with the chicken balls and squid balls too.

There are many others, comment below on what do you want to see next in my articles.
