Good evening eAUS (time written, don't hate),
Congress will vote on who will take over to be acting CP until new elections are held in 17 days. As I have said from hour 0, day 1, I will give all ORGs to the acting CP and relinquish all power and remove myself from this temporary position.
The reason it took 2 days was because of political mumbo jumbo discussions, and because I needed to grab as many congressman who are active to be able to hold this vote.
Please understand if I held a public vote, fraud would be extremely easy and long to verify each vote. I left this up to congress and I hope you find my way of thinking rational.
HOWEVER, to keep this somewhat fair, anyone can participate to run for this position. Just state in comments below if you wish to run for acting CP, your name will be added to a ballot and we will run the vote.
In the case of a tie, we will run another vote with only the top 2 candidates, in case that is another tie we will add a mutual active member of eAUS although I highly doubt this will happen.
As of now, I am only aware of 2 candidates who are willing to take on this position.

Why is this coming from the CP paper when BDR is still active?
He released an article saying he was holding eAustralia 'hostage' from his own paper, but now someone who no longer is even shown on the Cabinet page is writing articles from the CP paper.
All very confusing on who is in charge, who is CP and who is pretending to be CP.

Congress please be aware that through this all several key people have been working very hard to make sure that this is sorted out as soon as possible.

I support congress voting an interim CP over a coup. A coup diverts weapons, energy and other resources to an internal fight, where we have limited people and fights to give. And, probably confused allies. Congress can vote down any lol/rubbish proposals anyway, and I am now concerned having read an article this does not appear to have either senate ok, or more worryingly, the ok of supporters named in the article.
To be clear I will fight AGAINST any coup attempt, and will if needs be seek support to stop it from happening as I think it wastes our effort in the wrong place.
Congress should be able to deal with a 2.5 week period, and I cannot see any critical CP in game function that will kill us, even a lapsing MPP should one expire.
My only comment is icetek it might take two weeks dealing with the current establishment to even get this effected. Calling for any public nominations then a vote then the following arguments if it is not the person some elements want, will take yonks. If any congress are prepared to nominate a citizen then they should do that NOW (with their agreement) in 24 hours vote. By Saturday, we have our interim CP (notwithstanding the inevitable complaints from whoever doesn't get it or their person).
Regarding the fight which got to this in the first place, I've spoken with a couple of eAussies and understand the argument. Again you lot can sort that out - without a dictatorship.

So, im assuming from this the point is icetek may not respect the outcome and transfer the money org passwords? If that is the concern there is nothing stopping him from ostensibly stealing the money now. And, I think were he to, it would be pretty easy to point the finger of blame to admin as he is the only one with the keys. I'm not sure that's entirely logical for an argument - if he refuses based on a democratic (well at least somewhat democratic vote) he is shooting himself in the posterior. I would like to think this is an abstract risk and to justify a coup on it is kinda like the road to hell being paved with good intentions. Sets a bad precedent for us all.
And people pointing out what he intended to do (he was also saying he was going to use the RBA to fund his election campaign, hopefully has made him realise that a lot of people are keeping an eye on the fund. We also know from history, admins dont chase cc that well. eAustralia has been robbed many times, hell even that screen shot shows Guag accusing me of stealing 700k and Iceteks comment elsewhere has him claiming that I photoshopped cc.

Hold on guys - get neither of you like each other, but stop hijacking my point. Yes rusty I am aware the bank has been robbed before - I was responsible for investigating one of the cases - and you are right it isn't easy getting the funds back. But it has been done once before.
As for the point about stealing, practically this is not avoidable be it a CP, dictator or any person with the means - ie, access to the relevant orgs. And I have seen previous CPs make comments threatening to before. It doesn't ameliorate the risks.
As for this case, I read it as being guag and Icetek discussing you personally. I might have missed the bit about using money for a campaign, not that I can see how that would work anyway, but it comes back to my initial point of it coming down to you and him not liking each other (and guag, apparently).
But this all completely detracts from my actual point - a coup is neither needed right now, nor a sensible idea right now, other than to waste valuable resources. We have to fight to do one, then, revoke one. And no congress elections next week, which, become the only real democratic way to maintain government until the 5th.
So no, I don't support the coup still - I support congress voting a replacement, and, if that is not icetek for him to hand the orgs over to elite and respect his interim election. Or, if it is icetek, the very same principle (he keeps the orgs and we respect that).
You and me are spectators in this process, given neither of us are in said congress. The only way to be more than that would be to try to overthrow, which under the circumstances neither of us should be a part of.
