What,me? Worry?

Having been recently spanked and re-born into this New World I have spent the last few days cruising around to the various sites where this game is played, as is my modus operandi. Whatever my name is I am still the same person behind the avatar, just like the song says we all only Citizens Behind A Mask.

My experience with games such as eRepublik is pretty extensive, ranging from the old board game ‘Diplomacy’ to the pencil and paper game Traveller and it’s many utterances. The one huge difference between those games and eRepublik is the fact I cannot see my opponents across a game table. The other day in the Media citizen Dio Killing Time published Arrested Development and a series of Unlikely Explanations and I could not agree more: Gold beasts rule the New World and I blame it on Admins refusal to add advertisements to the game.

eRepublik is by far the best persistent immersive life simulation game I have found, I keep expecting to see my UPP (Universal Personality Profile) numbers under my Avatar. All games such as Diplomacy, Traveller and eRepublik are after all are imitations of Life.


That Other Game

There is another immersive life Game out there but it reminds me too much of ‘The Sims’, I prefer games with a little more chaos. Like the many scenarios being played out on the Citizens of the Imperium forums and other such sites. Though they represent the chaos of life, they are -like life- totally uncontrollable.


Join a Military Unit

One of the requirements of being in Flight Training was to join the eUS Forums. Being a good Airman I quickly complied, requested the Flight Training group and began my tour of the forum. I found some very helpful information such as Bewbs 4 Newbs founded long ago by Molly Emma, where you get supplies for showing your bewbs; and I do like showing my bewbs.

Upon seeing the Mentor program link I requested one, listing the things I wish to learn in my preferred order; it was an ambitious list I must say. It's been a few days and I haven't heard from them and if I were truly a Newb to the game I might think I was being back burnered; damned elitist.

Having played this game previously I know that there are new people running government programs almost every month, not unlike America every 4 to 8 years. So I am pretty sure that I have simply fallen through the cracks of the turnover in Administrations, so for the truly new ‘Newbs’ just be patient and they will get to you. Being a new player if you have wondered, ‘Should I volunteer in some way or as a new citizen would I simply be in the way?’ The short answer is volunteer.

When I re-joined eRepublik I had the good fortune to meet a long time eRepublik citizen who has been very generous with his support, both sage advice and financial assistance. I want to publicly thank this citizen for the mentoring I have received from him.

Anywho, if not for this one long time citizen I would have left this game within a few days of starting again, the situation in America seemingly unchanged. He responded to a shouted question from someone he believed to be a newb with a helpful answer, then followed up with a personal note in my mailbox.

He was very careful not to impose his own opinions on me, rather simply guiding me to information sources (like the WHPR, where the current leaders of these programs are listed) so I could form my own impressions. Thank you, George Armstrong "Old Man" Custer, who helped a newb and unknowingly kept a long time citizen of eRepublik from leaving. If every long time citizen of the New World extended such help to newbs, guided them to the wells of knowledge; citizens such as Ronald Gimper Reagan would be a pimple on the buttocks of America. It makes me wonder how many -if any- other older citizens are extending themselves to greet and guide our young new citizens



President Henry Arundel

I also wish to thank my long time nemesis Henry Pfeiffer Arundel (this is the name change Boss) who has hired me for the White House Press Report (it’s actual Room, but I like Report better -sorry George). The President’s willingness to include a citizen who he considered an enemy, shows that he truly knows the meaning of the quote, ‘Duty, Honor, Country’. On October 15th I call on the 4 American Top 5 parties to elect ‘Unity Party Presidents’. Help America by casting your vote for the Unity Party President for your party. Stand united America and keep our Nation free of Serbian and Hungarian domination and hand ‘The Gimper’ another defeat at the polls.
