Ahhh, there's nothing more frightening than eAmerican lack of self-awareness. eUS out of Sirius, booted out for pretty much what governments of that country have been doing since beta. And other governments. But still for being dicks.
First, the Canada situation. Nothing quite like burning your state's cash reserves, outdamaging a small country up to six times over what's required, largely ignoring your alliance obligations, all because the big bad Serbs MPPed up. Or maybe some of the boys wanted to loot the treasury indirectly using the war to do it. It seems to be a matter for debate in the US. Either way, it was not encouraging.
Then comes the current term. Negotiations take hold, largely on US terms despite mounting evidence that the American military campaign was essentially self-harm. Disengagement from Canada begins, but what happens afterwards? No pivot to alliance responsibilities or a grand scheme, and further shirking of duties. Conveniently forgetting to tell allies about negotiations with the enemy. Unilateral NAPs. Other cheeky shenanigans along those lines.
And boy oh boy, did the Yanks piss off half the world. The rest of the alliance were perfectly fine with dumping the Americans. Which given their recent set of governments, was an inevitability. So no more Brazil or US damage for Sirius.
Meanwhile, eIreland sits between some of the involved parties. Quietly wondering if the world's on some drug or another. While buying eChile lots of drinks.
Hail Aurora!

v hard. The US should've stuck to what they did long ago. They got selfish, and their nation's government grew corrupt and obsessed with beating serbia in any way possible. Glove wrote possibly the best article i've ever read when he quit, but recently returned and i believe he deleted it. But it was strong and moving, He broke down everything to label clearly what the US was, and what it has become.
I don't think its ever too late for a nation to recover from its own failures, so long as its leadership recognizes failures as just that, and not as "setbacks". Only through seeing them as failures can you deter heading down that same road again. They should stay far from it, but though I think it possible, doubt their current egotistic "elite" will be the ones to steer them back on course.
I have read all the boring articles of Mary Mmo and Iaan that douche of the UK . Ego's got in the way of common sense. Mary Mmo would not have gotten elected again . So basically Keers kicked them for one CP. Like most pointed out they could just have ignored them for a month.
One wonders if the CP matters though, the eUS has a very poor track record on CPs that are actually competent where foreign affairs is concerned.

"And boy oh boy, did the Yanks piss off half the world"
So eRep mirrors real life then.
Problem is the rest of the world desperately needs our version of democracy you see, or at least they need a corrupt government no different than the one they have now, only one that's friendlier with us. 😛
Friendly with you because your Government usually install it...
Yes that's why we call it democracy. 😛

Nice one! Voted of course...
Sitting back on a lovely evening in eSantiago watching samba dancers with a Mahina Stout in hand is a recommended activity.
The eUSA has finally made it more obvious as to their lack of intestinal fortitude and coordination.

And if you look to your left, in this article, we see why I decided to leave that community so many moons ago. Here's to a cool community! (Hint: It's Ireland.)
