Spain, glorious, glorious Spain. I come here to quiet some fears about this. For those of you who are lazy, that’s the link to a law proposal forming an MPP between the United States and Brazil.

Our government felt the obligation to explain this to Spain, some of our best friends. Brazil has been a traditional Phoenix power for quite some time and have been engaged in a rather vicious campaign against Spanish regions. That is why some Spanish citizens are questioning our move. That is completely understandable.

First, I need to dissuade the fears that we are joining a holy crusade to cleanse the land of pig-disgustingness (oh, hi there comments section).

Now, down to the reasons. The United States and Brazil are seeking to form a new resource rich alliance in the Americas that promotes economic prosperity as the United States and Brazil both benefit. The Americas have large amounts of resources and that could lead to a large campaign as the United States and Brazil battled for dominance. Instead, the United States entered talks with Brazil. We have forged a healthy alliance and will be promoting friendship with our new allies in South America. We will also be importing their women.

I bet you hoped for a picture. Stop being lazy and google it.

Doesn’t this seem like a waste of gold to sign a MPP since the alliance will just break the next time Brazil attacks a Spanish region? Furthermore, doesn’t this seem like a breach of Spanish trust as we are helping someone invading their soil economically?

No.

Spain and Brazil have signed a peace treaty as part of a large deal of diplomatic stuff that I would probably be terrible at. The point is that Brazil and Spain are no longer at war. We are not allied to an enemy of Spain. You are one of our staunchest allies in the game and we appreciate that.

I also need to mention that your government was kept in the loop the entire time. Our respective leaderships were constantly in touch with one another during the whole process. We did not make any moves without consulting you and making sure it served both American and Spanish interests.

Bottom line:
We are your allies Spain. You are our bros. We would not change that for all the hue in the world.

Don’t hate me,
