What is eRepublik

Day 3,262, 02:15 Published in Greece Greece by Blue Lord

Many have probably wondered what eRepublik is. Is it a strategy game? Maybe an FP game? Or is it a fantasy game? In fact, is it really a game, or a life? Real life or Virtual life? Is it just another internet game or is it the escape window everyone needs?

None of the above. It is just another way for some people to make money. How do they make money? Simply by counting on the psychology of the players who want to prove they are good at something, better than others or even everyone else, and therefore put money in the game in order to advance fast.

What also helps to make money is the ego. Nationalistic, imperialistic, or any other kind of ego. This factor is one that can be named the goose with the golden eggs as it is because of this the creators of the game have manipulated the law and have named another country with a name that they know it will upset a particular group of players. But is it really their fault (the creators')? Or is it us who because in our everyday life we are ruled by traitors who do nothing to protect our rights, we get passionate and do not want this unfairness to take place in our fantasy strategy FP life game?

And whilst no one is bothered about the crap I am talking about, Greece has failed once again to do a simple thing. Stay united. I mean e-Greece, although I doubt Greece differs much. But what the heck. Greece has never been united. Not in the Ancient times, not in the Medieval times, not in the Modern era or the present.

It is impossible to be united because it is impossible to allow anyone to be above us. It doesn't matter if can't do anything better than the others. All it matter is that they cannot be above us. And if things don't happen they way we want, we through our dummy out of the pram and perform a nasty tantrum to demonstrate that although we can't win we know how to be bad losers.

Many are now wondered why don't we free any of our territories. Or why did the coup take place. Many opposed the coup, even those who were considering it as a solution. Maybe some don't want a coup because they link it with the coup that Greece had in 1967 (never mind the one Greece had back in 1936). Few know the difference of the Roman Coup and the Political Coup. Never mind... And whilst we are still wondering what happened, winter is coming and the time to go and have some breakfast is nigh as my tummy is rumbling. You probably get the idea or maybe you don't.

Leaving with a surprise song from Markos ... You never know, it might be the next thing eRepublik will bring in the ... game...
