Week 1

So I have been getting back into eRepublik and I must say that a bunch has changed since the days of Emericka. This newspaper is going to document my journey to rediscover myself within the world of eRepublik.

Week One
So this week, I got acquainted with some of the new mechanics of the game and joined both a political party and a military unit. I must say that I'm going to look forward to growing within the Federalist Party. Some realizations:

1) It appears that banks have completely ceased to exist, as well as non-governmental organizations.

2) It seems the eUSA is now a dictatorship, although I am told that it is a strategic move.

3) I am told that the CBO doesn't really peg USD prices anymore, which leads me to wonder how governments now manage their currency and get gold. I'm sure I will find that out in due time.

Conclusion:

All-in-all, it has been a good week. Hopefully, I will continue to grow quickly and steadily. It's good to be back.

2. it's a "defensive dictatorship" to protect the land from game-mechanics concerned military TO issues, de facto congress has the same power as usual

Cbo gets money from taxes mostly I think.
The dictatorship is only there to get a week to prepare for a coup of it ever happens. Anyone with enough cc can start a coup from what I can tell and install a dictatorship but if there's already a dictator we get a week to prepare defenses and damage to prevent it from succeeding.

This is my third account. I can't remember what the name of my last account was and it was connected to my old Facebook. That's why I created this one. I first joined right before we were backed into Florida. I wish the game was that active again.
