If V1 or version 1 was such a superior game: Can anyone answer me this.
WHY ARE NONE OF THE CLONES MADE WITH THAT GAME MECHANICS?
Certainly, if that was such a superior game now abandoned this would be an unexplored gold mine. Just waiting for some programmer to make his mark with.
Yet there is no V1 clone.
DOES ANYONE NOT GET THAT ANYTHING BELOW Q7 WEPS DONT SELL AND IS NOT PROFITABLE ANYMORE?
Did some players drift into a black hole whilst this has been the rule since the introduction of Q7 and never came out until now with 100 q6 Weps Factories?
Certainly one must be a particularly stubborn noob to still want to make money from Q1 Weps factories.
IF WORK TICKETS IS THE WAY TO GO WHY DONT ANY OF THAT BUSINESS COMPARE TO WAM TICKETS?
Lets take Q7 Weps .
Currently 1 worker cost about 283 cc
I will take my setup to demonstrate.
Worker tickets required for +- 1050 Q7 Weps = 50
50 * 283 = 14150
wam required = 2100(the new formulas) * 5.5 = 11550
Cost to manufacture = 25700cc
versus
Gross Profit
1050 * 25 = 26250
Net profit = 550 cc
lets take Q1 Air to Air Missiles
4 job tickets produces about 27 Q1 A2A Missiles
3 for the missiles and 1 for the ARM.
4 * 283 = 1132 Cost to manafacture
Gross Profit 27 * 38 = 1026
Net Loss: 106 cc
So both Q7 Weps and Q1 A2A missiles are in the range unprofitable to borderline unprofitable versus WAM click that is very profitable.
SO MY QUESTION IS: IF A CERTAIN OPTION CONSISTENTLY SHOWS ITSELF TO BE UNPROFITABLE: HOW EXACTLY DOES THIS FIX THE ECONOMY?
one of our neighbour countries to the north of us now has this epedemic where fisherman has moved away from their normal fishing practises and decided to use fertilizer bombs. These bombs destroys the coral reef of which the fish feed which leads to an ever increasing decrease in fish populations. And in the end probably mass starvation and the death of most fishermen and fish a like.
I cannot see any plan to end wam as anything but in this category. Kill off the economy? so that the few communes survive.
IF THERE IS AN OVERPRODUCTION AND PEOPLE MAKE EASY MONEY:
1. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS?
2. WHY IS THERE NO MAJOR DOWNWARD MOVEMENTS IN THE PRICES OF OVER PRODUCED GOODS.
3. IF THERE IS AN OVER PRODUCTION DUE TO EVERY 1 MAKING EASY MONEY - How is it consumed?
1 is obvious if the person put the effort in and got to the predicted result: What is wrong with this?
2 is a but more complicated but lets make it easy. If player all put their items at below value and there is more than a page's offers eventually the price starts dropping.
Yet I sell daily and my variation is about 2 cents in a few months.
And the demand in the WRM market is outstripping the supply. So this indicates an under production.
3 if there was an overproduction why are offers regularly bought . In short how is this overproduction consumed? Remember if the market gets too many offers that cannot be consumed prices will drop. Its not dropping so explain to us why this is?
MILITARY MODULE
IS THIS REALLY PROFITABLE?
Ok if you buy a maverick pack you can make lots of battle heroes. But the player that is probably making the most damage recently told me he is basically plowing everything he makes back into energy bars. He makes x amount a day but then uses this money and gold to buy more energy bars.
So tell me you that claim this massive amounts of money what are their eb consumptions versus gold + money made.
AND FINALLY WHO ARE YOU TO SAY WHAT WE FIND ENJOYABLE OR NOT?
I have played games where one build 500 buildings on a map. One makes goals one ticks them off one makes new goals. Certainly, there are a plethora of offerings many of them even dumber than erepublik. So why should everyone that was successful at the game be punished so that those that dont make it can enjoy themselves in the old game that was discontinued on the bequest of the majority of players of that time?
Most of what you describe as dumbing down just cut schlep and stopped it from being a clicker game. 1 Inventory is way easier than 1000 separate inventories and the utter and complete headache that would bring me. Selecting all factories is better than clicking them off 1 by one.
Making the economy more global has allowed all players even those capped by small countries to compete on the same battlegrounds. Why do I need my money in my own currency on the MM. How will this change anything?
As a game evolve isn't it natural for some elements like gold selling to become redundant?
Also, you suggest that all players should fulfill a role on the battlefield by nerfing the bigger players. Fine but how will this help small countries who cant even muster sometimes a decent defense on their own to have their 1 or 2 stars nerfed to shreds.

you missed one point.. no game change since beginning of game was made to make it better but just to make it more pleasant for dumb Mujos who like to spend even more on this changes just to feed their own ego... you can see the proof on that on the main feed where only every 100't post is about something else than making a stupid medal.. thats why so many funny and smart players left this game.. 😛
PS: and Riker is not wrong btw.. 😛
my previous game was one that had really talented programmers. they made exiting updates that was very complicated and changed the whole game. their numbers kept on dropping and they struggled to keep worlds alive. so they started to merge worlds together. then they started to empower certain players to make the gameplay better for all by improving the strenght of such players and they perma banned me in the end for transgressing laws that didnt exist because according to them i was working against those people which in their words was building the community. i had the biggest inventory in that game and had 99.5 of all items in the game. they never asked me once for advice or took anything i said seriously. in a sense i was one of their best players. after I left everyone dropped our main activity fort fighting because there was just not enough players to keep it up. they never comprehended the intricacies of this. what riker has said i have said before as well about the military. he probably just copy pasted one of my articles. truth be told a tank would understand the fun of being a tank and a tycoon the fun of being a tycoon. i dont think many players besides one or 2 other players has near 800 factories. it would take years to reproduce my industry. that is one point i did not even list. also only no carrier has like me 1250 and more articles. that effort would take years to reproduce. i enjoy grinding at a thing. setting targets and finishing them. everyone in my previous game understood different people different paths.
A good read. Valid points are made, but I see also why Riker made valid points.
What is true also that there are still lots of players that have fun in the current eRepublik. It used to be more, it could be more too I think.

1 is called somethingpopulus, cant recall the name of the other one. im sure there were even more. anyway, plato cant stand external advertising, so if you want to find those im pretty sure google can work its magic
well something game name introduced crafting a couple of years ago. if plato introduced crafting perhaps it would appease the v1 relics that still rumble out the occasional v1 was great article.
idk didnt ever play it, but one cant say v1 wasnt great, the community was larger and not so bitter as it is now 🙂 after every change you have people bitching, so yeah 🙂
coming from the relic xD v2 was great (certainly not due to exodus and time management thing) its military module was freaking epic!
v3 has the least interesting military module (and this is war oriented game) might be the reason why people rumble bout v1 so much...
