Upcoming Congress Elections
cyber ninja
Hello eCanadians! As you know congress elections are coming up. For those of you who aren’t affiliated with the top 5 parties, or just want information on all of the parties and whether to vote for them, this might be a good place to start! This is not officially part of my “This Week In Erepublik” series or my “Mid Week Stats” series, but they may be cited throughout this article.
I’m going to be using acronyms for all of the party names, so I will make sure you know which is which here.
CPF - Canadian Progressive Front
RW - Rylde’s Whorehouse
PFC - Parti Francophone Canadien
IP - Imperial Party
BAL - Beaver Action League
Alright, now onto the article!
This chart is not affected by the popularity of a party or the number of congressmen who got into congress. Every party has the opportunity to score between 0 and 100%. With that said, we can clearly see two very strong parties, two decent parties, and one that is, simply put; trash. We see already a big candidate for the vote; RW, with 76% congress activity. This is followed by CPF with nearly 50%. Obviously these are good numbers, but with new or different congressmen being voted in this could change, so let’s move on.
Since the political views of each party has become somewhat irrelevant in decisions, I think it’s important to look at the unique people each party has to offer. I’m going to split off into each party’s notable people.
CPF
DMV3 - He was our country president before Molly Jo, and he handled the country confidently, and is very fit in the political sense.
Exalted Druid - He is the current PP of CPF, an administrator on the forum, very active, and currently dMoD.
Aries Prime - At the time of writing he is not a proposed congress candidate in CPF, but is still significant. He is currently the VP of Canada, as well as MoF. Very active
Many of the others running with CPF are significantly active and have a lot to bring to the table. CPF has also not had any significantly corrupt or bad congressmen so far.
RW
Rylde - He is the current PP of RW, always has much to say in politics, and was once a dictator of Canada.
Mann551 - A quite active congressman, who also ran for presidency this past CP election.
Darth Zigus - Currently MoD, also quite active.
Muglack - An extremely active congressman, currently holding the speaker position in congress.
RW’s congress team has proven itself especially in the last month to be superior in activity, and has not had any significantly corrupt or bad congressmen.
IP
Punisher1389 - Very firm opinions, and also quite active.
Molly Jo - Even though she can’t run for congress, she is still still from IP and is very significant in politics.
IP’s congress team is not as active as the two previous, but can be active when needed or called out on it. No significantly corrupt or bad congressmen.
BAL
Maijal - An active congress member, also PP of BAL
BAL is the least active other than PFC, who I saved specifically for last for that reason. BAL also ran GBR_Blue, who was withdrawn from congress for allowing someone citizenship in the country to get the “Legend of Canada” rank. This does not directly reflect the party’s intentions, so should be viewed lightly in that sense.
PFC
PFC’s members are not active in congress, and only 1 vote was even cast from them this month. None of them are significant in eCanadian politics.
Concerning Garry Carter, the one who made an illegal proposal and wanted to abolish the eCanadian forums, he ran with CPF, but is no longer affiliated with them.
My best advice is to vote for RW. They are the most active party by far, the party brags some very good candidates, and is not corrupt in any way. If you choose not to vote for RW, vote for CPF, as they are the next best alternative. Do not vote for PFC, they have proven themselves as a waste of space in congress, and thus should not have the privilege of wasting another significant amount of congress spaces. I’m not trying to be mean, but they are just not fit to be in congress.
Comments

As I recall Utat that was MDP backed by myself that helped out the PFC in a jam a few times back when we were allied parties.
I read your comments before deletion so maybe we will just try our best.
BAL will strive to be more forum active this term but i refuse to get strict about it , I personally believe the forum is crucial to the running of congress but BAL itself stands for everyone's right to have a personal opinion we're all individuals that play the game at our own pace.
That said i will be asking those elected to at least read the forums (at best join in the debates there) so they have additional insight when proposals are made and can make more informed decisions.
Also T.E Lwrence , Thedillpickl and Simulare aren't notable? For shame !
Thedillpickl does not seem to be running last I checked, and Simulare and T.E. Lawrence are quite active, but are also either equally or less significant than Crisfire, Chochi, Xicheal, or TimmKruz, who were also not put on the list.
Chochi is an independent even though he runs under the CPF banner. He's said in the past that he would appreciate being identified as such.
Thanks, Muglack. Considering the hard work that ninja's putting into this, I didn't want to make it harder for him by having to count me on my own. I don't mind adding my numbers to the CPF for this - my gift to them for "letting" me run with them.
At the risk of biting the hand that feeds me (again), I run with them because they simply don't have enough legitimate candidates of their own but can practically guarantee that all theirs candidates will be elected (I think this has happened for the past two months).
That said, it might be worth considering counting Clan Wolf Congressmen separately - although they do have to run under other parties' banners, complicating the matter.
Oh, and if we're going to get technical - Muglack and I both tend not to vote in votes that we're running. We're such role players! 😃
That is the reason why I didn't put in Chochi or Foxfire, but either way I used Chochi as an example merely because I didnt include him.
I was just mentioning because I'm sure he accounts for a large portion of the CPF's "activity" when technically speaking he isn't part of the party.
Darth Z Currently MoD, also quite active?
The only time, I am not on erep, is when I am sleeping... I need help 🙁
I like your conclusion ahah 😁 How do you make your "stat" ? Most of debate take place on eCan forum and I don't remember reading a CyberNinja very active on it 😁 I only found a dude register 2015-07-25 with 1 post. So basicly.....
I read ODC, but can't participate because I'm currently not in congress. Not much happens outside of congress that is interesting or relevant. I promise as soon as I get into congress (if I do) you will see many more posts from me!
I take offense to this article I'm a member of The PFC and I voted in all but 1 of the votes so your stats are wrong and misleading
as for garry carter he is n longer a member of the party
get your FAQ's write before you write shit up
Gerry
It also looks like he was elected with the CPF, for what it's worth.
Like I said, it's not a reflection of the party. Also I'm counting forum votes. They're the ones that really count.
the Forum is only in english therefore a poor representation and thus should not count
There's this thing called google translate that can translate english into french and vice versa. I've read many many forums/articles/other using google translate then translated my response. Google Chrome will also automatically translate pages into your default language too.
Each section of the forums has both an English and French name.
Some of our laws have been translated into French. Why nobody from the PFC has requested or done the translation for the others is beyond me.
Anyone can write in whatever language they want. Francophone Congressmen have made statements in French in the past. Historically, some of eCanada's greats have been francophones.
I think you're just using language as an excuse that fails to justify your party's laziness as a whole. If you wanted to make eCanada more inclusive, we would see action to this respect - again, as we have seen in the past. If you only wanted to play the language in French, you'd move to eFrance - as some have.
But you haven't - you're here in Canada. That you're not doing much isn't unique to your party members but it does raise the question - are you guys running for Congress for any other reason than the 5 gold award? If not, at least own up to it instead of making excuses.
It's interesting to see these stats again and your conclusion is an interesting one - is the activity of Congressmen of the best reason to vote for a party? I've recently been asking where parties stand politically and ideologically and the results have been mixed at best. Maybe we should all just give up the ghost that politics means something here and all become independents (though I realise that that would make elections a little hard).
If you have the time and it's not too difficult, I'd be interested in seeing how active Congressmen are based on their ranking on the party list. If parties stack their list with their most active Congressmen at the top then these parties would still be able to get their message across - and likely even see the same number of votes case in the direction they'd prefer). It might also mean that if more members of parties that are most active are elected that we may actually see a reduction in overall or average activity.
I like the way you think Chochi! I think it would be extremely difficult to pull off finding activity other than forum votes and debates, because all the information like that is closed off in game, but I can try one week if you'd like. If I can find a way to do it then it will get done.
Activity is a hard thing to measure. Voting is a good sign, sure. Commenting on discussions is an indicator but certainly there's a question of quality.
I wouldn't worry about getting too technical. This is a rather simple game. No need to get into it like VoteWatch.
Apparently, out of all of the articles posted, this is the one that started a war.
I blame the British!
Hopefully not all of them 😛
No, just the bad ones.
Ill admit i have not been active this month , and the BAL certainly can do better with activity on the forums. That being said these are the most active eCanada's forums have been in years! I praise articles like this because it gives the forums more exposure so hopefully more will take part in what is truly the only fun part of this game left.
Who's about useless congress activity.
They are all muppets who will vote as dedacted by our "dictatorship".
