Greetings citizens of the United Netherlands,

A lot happened in the UNL congress since the election day (25 november).
You elected a new congress. Check the chart.
You can check here who has signed in. As you can see, one member of BP is missing.
polux2704 has left the congress because of personal reasons. The GVD appointed CreveRoeland -me- as congress member according to the law about representation for small parties.
Some people also left the ingame congress but can keep their seat because they are Flying Dutchman.

New elections took place for the chairman and deputy chairman of congress.
CreveRoeland was elected was new Chairman of congress, after a succesfull term as deputy chairman, and Kixtart, the forum admin, was elected as Deputy Chairman of congress. Congratulations!

The chairman immediatly did what he promise😛 cleaning the law book:
The congress edited some laws, translated some and declared some old laws void. These changes were accepted with a large majority.

Some discussions aren't finished yet:

A public discussion was launched in congress about a possible merger of the UNL with the United Kingdom. Read all about this important issue here.
As UNL-Citizen, you can participate in these discussions! You have access to the congress.

In mean time, the congress gave his confidence to the new government. This new government consists of I&W, GLD and TLP. It was accepted with 73% of the votes.

The United Netherlands also joined a new alliance, called PHOENIX. Read the discussion here.
Some congress members thought that our president was acting illegal when he signed the treaty before the congress voted on this important issue: discuss here.
The congress eventually accepted the treaty with 93% of the votes.

In the past few days, some other interesting discussions starte😛
*As a "spinn-off" from the discussion about the "illigal actions" of our president, a proposal was launched about the separation of powers.
*Someone proposed to create a "National Lottery" to gain some additional cash for the governent.
*Another discussion was started about forum-based UNL citizenship for foreigners and Belgians.
*And there is also a proposal to give Belgian congress members who are loyal to the UNL a seat in the UNL forum congress. This proposal will probably be rejected by the congress.
