Might want to amend your fun fact. The reason English is so widely spoken is because of globalization, and the dominance of the American economy for so long. Britain just laid the ground works for it. Don't believe me? The most spoken language (other than Mandarin) prior to the 60s-70s was French (not English).

😁 he has a point the french were more influencal in bigger countries that britain (or countries with bigger populations) EG canada and some african countries (during the empire era)
