Time for a Philosophy of Growth

Day 3,223, 19:38 Published in USA Japan by Shuji Ariwa

It has become apparent to me that in order for this country and this game to survive, we are going to need new players. Easier said than done, am I right?

Perhaps not.

But some issues need to be addressed for it be attractive to remain in the game for more than a week once they are here. There are obstacles which may drive away potential players: The big one is the monster in the room - the levels of the majority of people that currently play the game. The reality is that once you begin the game in 2016, you will forever have a handicap. That can't be helped. What can be helped though is the sense of elitism and permanence that exists within every level of government and party politics.

Frankly, I don't see why parties aren't leveraging their members and hosting donation drives to get sponsor spots on large YouTube channels. Sponsorships and ad spots are invaluable and I am considering buying some spots myself.

"It's hard" isn't an excuse to not try. And I think it's time for the major parties to step up to the plate. We can't ignore stagnation forever and poaching a dwindling number of players from each other's parties will only last so long.

I will end this article by saying that it's at least worth having a discussion over.

That is all, have a good night. Forever P/H.
