The eUSMC/eAirborne & McFarland Constructions present Operation Mayhem.
Max McFarland 2
Citizens,
.
This article explains some current changes to operations in McFarland Hospitals,
followed by a revised project outline for McFarland Constructions.
.
Operation Mayhem:
Recently, I have engaged in talks with Lucius "Lucky" Varenus, Commandant, eUSMC. As of Day 680 we have launched Operation Mayhem, to operate McFarland Hospitals as a joint venture between the eUSMC/eAirborne and McFarland Constructions. We will produce some number (don’t ask) of Q5 Hospitals for the eUSA, to be deployed or stockpiled per Presidential decision. Volunteer workers may be necessary during military deployments. This is all the public information available on this partnership; please do not waste your time asking me questions about Operation Mayhem.
.
McFarland Constructions will otherwise continue to operate as normal:
1. McFarland Hospitals builds Q5 Hospitals for donation to the eUSA, as explained above.
2. McFarland Defense Systems build Q5 Defense Systems for donation to the eUSA, as explained below.
3. McFarland Homework Assignments trains volunteers with zero or low constructions skill, as explained below.
.
McFarland Defense Systems continues to operate with labor provided by volunteers, those who are able and willing to work for the volunteer wage of $2 USD. Every day I trim the roster to the 20 most productive volunteers, and cut all job offers below the skill of the least skilled volunteer on the roster. Currently, the lowest skill job offers available in McFarland Hospitals are currently skill level 2. Volunteers with less skill are invited to raise their skill in McFarland Homework Assignments if they so choose. Many volunteers for McFarland Defense Systems stay on a temporary basis, so open positions and minimum skill requirements vary daily.
.
McFarland Homework Assignments is a training company for citizens with zero or low constructions skill. I have observed that the job market does not always offer skill 0 or skill 1 constructions jobs, and there is not currently a government equivalent of the manufacturing skill hub, Fort Harlot Weapons, which provides for those citizens interested in constructions skill. I provide for this need through McFarland Homework Assignments. This company is only meant to serve as a temporary training camp, with graduates moving on to McFarland Hospitals and/or McFarland Defense Systems.
.
Project FAQ:
.
1. McFarland Constructions is designed to produce Q5 infrastructure for donation to the eUSA. These products will be sold for the nominal fee of $0.01 USD. My goal is to eliminate the cost factor in the government infrastructure decision.
2. I cover all expenses 100% myself. Contributions are welcome, but unnecessary.
3. I do ask for volunteer labor, working at a $2 USD salary. This project requires volunteer constructions labor. There is only so much money I am able to put forward each day at a 100% loss. I want to work with like-minded volunteers who are willing to sacrifice some time to help rebuild the eUSA; folks like the eUSMC/eAirborne serving in Operation Mayhem, and the assorted civilian patriots throughout McFarland Hospitals and McFarland Defense Systems.
4. I make no claims to know better than the government. I trust whichever President is in office to deploy or stockpile any infrastructure I build as they see fit, given JCS counsel. This is a continuous and long-term project. It is my intent to prepare us now for our current and future infrastructure needs. We cannot predict the future.
5. This is just how I choose to spend my money to help our country. My thanks to all the patriots who choose to sacrifice with me for the collective good of our nation. Their sweat and sacrifice shall make our nation strong.
6. You are welcome to join us, if not with your labor, then with your voice. Articles, shouts, posts, etc, are always welcome to spread the word and attract high-skill volunteers.
.
If you like my goals, any help you'd like to offer with labor and/or publicity is always appreciated.
.
We strive forward for the glory of our nation.

Hopefully number 2 wont get banned for Multi's like the first Max McFarland did. For the longest time he was using the exact same avatar as well.
I am personally disappointed with this. I would hate for the appearance of impropriety to tarnish Lucky's shiny new Ambassador Medal. I would further hate for someone to think that just because there was another Max McFarland that used the same Avatar as this one and made donations to the same McFarland Orgs and stuff, that Lucky is openly supporting Multi's as a way to build wealth in the game. Even if it may appear that way, I am sure it isn't really the case.

@ Wapu: I am sorry to hear you have such concerns.
Re: "Hopefully number 2 wont get banned for Multi's like the first Max McFarland did."
~ Mistakes were made. We can fixate on them... or we can pick ourselves up after we fall, and move on.
Re: "For the longest time he was using the exact same avatar as well."
~ Why hide it? That would be worse.

~ People will see what they want to see. Everything is in plain sight, but perceptions vary by the individual. Some folks only look to the past... and some are wise enough to accept the past and look forward.
That said, I am sure your caution serves our nation well in it's own way. Congress needs differences of opinion. o7.

@Max
While I do not appreciate the implication that I am looking at the past and not wise enough to look at the future, I will not let the attempted slight detract from the discussion at hand.
For me it is a simple matter of hypocrisy. If we as an eSociety are willing to forgive the Max McFarlands and the Franco/Harrison Richards of the game and we show the world through our actions that their actions have no consequences, then we lose the moral high ground when discussing the PEACE GC countries and cheating. But sadly, that is not the biggest issue for me.
You seek and get a lot of publicity. Because of this, new players see you as an example of what to strive for in this game. My biggest concern is that active motivated new players will get frustrated trying to do things honestly and follow the example you have set. I have already seen this with a couple newbs and I have only been playing just over 2 months. When I was talking to one of them after their ban, they mentioned you by name. Your actions do have ramifications and I just hope that somebody as respected as Lucky doesn't get tarnished by another one of your "Mistakes".
Proud to be a Marine and part of this Project.

Re: "While I do not appreciate the implication that I am looking at the past and not wise enough to look at the future, I will not let the attempted slight detract from the discussion at hand."
~ Hrm. I tried to temper my response. I obviously failed. I do think your *position* on this is unrealistic and unwise, but, I am not trying to slight *you*. I find fault with your position, but not with you. Positions can change; you are not your position.
.
Re: "You seek and get a lot of publicity."
~ I have a big ego. It blocks the sun at certain angles.
.
Re: "Because of this, new players see you as an example of what to strive for in this game."
~ There you go padding my ego. Dangerous.
.
Re: "My biggest concern is that active motivated new players will get frustrated trying to do things honestly and follow the example you have set. I have already seen this with a couple newbs and I have only been playing just over 2 months."
~ Sorry to hear it. I always advise people to avoid my mistakes.
.
Re: "When I was talking to one of them after their ban, they mentioned you by name."
~ Such is life. Hopefully they learned from the experience. I did.
.
Re: "Your actions do have ramifications and I just hope that somebody as respected as Lucky doesn't get tarnished by another one of your "Mistakes"."
~ Your concerns are justified. Actions speak louder than words.

Wow, very good responses Max!
@Wapu: Can't even express how much I felt like you back in August. All I can say is that I've grown up a lot since then.. or maybe accept a lot, because I would not still be playing this game otherwise.
People can't even explain certain things about the game for fear of 'law infringements' on themselves.. not because they've done wrong, but because they'd possibly educate the public.
Just know that eRep itself gives players the chance to create a new player when banned. If eRep can do that, we all (as players within their game) should give them the second chance as well. Especially when they admit to it and don't deny anything.
