The Big ASSUMPTION
GunnarP
The Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) is outlined in Field Manual 5-0 Operations.
The basic steps in the MDMP are:
1.Receipt of Mission
2.Mission Analysis
3.Course of action (COA) Development
4.COA Analysis (aka Wargaming)
5.COA Comparison
6.COA Approval
7.Orders Production
The eUS government has decided to execute STEP 7 immediately with an operation to rid us of PTOs and immigrants who came to the eUS for the 100% bonus.
During Mission Analysis a battle staff must identify FACTS and ASSUMPTIONS. A bad ASSUMPTION can lead to mission failure because the Courses of Action developed are not FEASIBLE, SUITABLE, or COMPLETE. The Course of Action we have developed and are executing DO NOT meeting President's mission of getting rid of PTOs.
The big assumption is giving two regions up and losing the 100% BONUS will make the individuals here for PTO efforts leave. Immigrants coming here for the bonus only are not the issue; understand that some do sell votes--but so do eUS native citizens. It's PTOer's who come here to actively subvert our government and undermine our foreign relations and activities. The BIG ASSUMPTION is that getting rid of the 100% bonus will get rid of the PTOs. My assessment is that ASSUMPTION is wrong. If an individual is here to undermine the eUS with PTOs then nothing will make them leave. The real issue is some political parties that will let anyone and I mean anyone run and when they get to Congress they open the borders.
And I understand it's a slippery slope because once they let 15-18 people in 100 people in (I think they can approve 100) then it creates a political block to continue to undermine the eUS.
Coordination between the top 5 parties should be the priority and understand there have been multiple issues with certain parties not wanting to play and one actively undermining those efforts.
But we still have a chance. We should always assess our assumptions and estimates when they are determined to be faulty. PTOs are here to stay and losing a 100% bonus won't make them leave.
Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in.
*DISCLAIMER* As an member of the eUSAF I will follow all directed orders.

"If an individual is here to undermine the eUS with PTOs then nothing will make them leave."
Agreed. There is however another possible group: honest players who have honest disagreements and happen to have been foreign citizens at some point. You might get these honest players to leave.
Assumption 2: that there exists an "true" American policy which is being frustrated by the "demon group". What is that policy? What is the policy or objective which is being frustrated?
Assumption 2. foreign citizens allowed into the eUS, run for Congress, buy votes, blanket citizenship approval, create voting blocks, then promote policy in the best interests of their original country.
I'm leaning on saying this is a FACT or the real problem. Had 3 last month.
Voted. Nice one Gunnar
Appeals to "true" Americans, to sovereignty, to patriotism, duty, honour and "blood ties" are often emotional arguments which veil self interest, political ambition and true intentions. Shared suffering also tends to build political cohesion. Same with fear. This is the agenda played out in RL USA since 911: be afraid and thus give up that which is most valuable.
So, my question for eUSA is simple: can you demonstrate that there is a real concrete threat of something real and concrete?
@ olivermellors. Your absolutely right about what our 'true' policy is. Our eUS policy changes every 30 days and thats okay. Whatever our true eUS policy is it shouldn't be countered by foreign powers who come here to actively disrupt that 30 day policy.
"foreign citizens allowed into the eUS, run for Congress, buy votes, blanket citizenship approval, create voting blocks, then promote policy in the best interests of their original country."

This is the usual bogey man. But it is precisely what most domestic players do: "promote policy in their own /party's/ friend's best interests".
Agreed that some players and voting blocks are clearly threats: i.e. players who come here not for bonus but to disrupt government
I think we are in general agreement: the issue is not players who come here for bonus. It is organized political disruption by ONE countries. Gutting bonuses will only help them with their agenda.
Pushing this a bit further into the concrete, consider americans who were formerly canadians and the Can Am war. American policy was as divided as American public opinion as was the opinion of "e😜ats".
If American government policy does in fact change every 30 days, it is not surprising that sometimes the "ex pats" will agree and sometimes not. That will be true of the general community. What I don't see is prevalent and consistent work against "american interests" except by Ajay etc.
I remain open to education however.

Olivermellors, Thats exactly what I said on other Articles, US currently have no goals and as such we are like ashes in the wind.

Very true,
If you wanted to know, how many can be let in vary each month depending on how many citizen the country has, but it's usually hovering around 15 to 18 citizenship pass per congressman.
I'm hoping that releasing the regions will make ATO efforts easier due to there being less regions to contend for.
@AlexJ1890. There may be some merit in that, but don't we have some regions that we could give up that don't kill our bonuses.
v32,s 903
Good article, you have raised a very valid point. I think you are partly right, many foreigners will not simply leave if a few bonuses are lost and America will likely need to take additional steps to restore its sovereignty. This will be an uphill battle, but one that must be won unless you're ready to be PTO-ed and do EDEN's bidding for the foreseeable future.
Fact:
We did not have enough trusted, capable blockers last month, and PTO congressmen were not blocked, were elected and are letting Serbians into the country.
Assumption:
If we reduce our regions, then we will have enough blockers next month. Based on last month's number, I believe this is plausible, and I approve the region reduction.
Not to mention that it will no longer be productive to use the eUS for communing, the primary reason so many forigs were let in to begin with - allied nation commune owners emigrating here for bonuses. Communes go away, so doe the primary reason for foreign citizenship.
PigInZen, there will be few countries if any to go as their native countries have even lower bonuses. Until USA bonuses dont drop to say 40/40 or lower, there will be almost no incentive to leave. Especially if to consider thar you'll get these bonuses back in the month or little longer. If you think that they are in so much need to have better bonuses instantly it feels to me you are little blinded imo. Time will tell ofc...
good article, voted and subscribed
Losing territories is a bad thing for your citizens. It's true that PTOers will not leave. They are there to PTO, not to get bonus for working (that's on second place and if they have it it's better, but not mandatory)
Work out on politics between big parties. Put congressman on lists long before the voting day. Every congressman should enter a chat and there a few guys should ask him different questions. This way, you'll see if they are true americans.
to be continued...
It will be hard for foreigners to write correctly in english on a chat. I'm saying this because it's easy to make a new account with US citizenship and try to PTO from inside without anyone seeing it coming
That's my point of view
Good luck
Will this Educational article be read and understood by the appropriate people?
You also made an assumption. You made an assumption that the PTO'ers here are around solely for PTO purposes. It's hard to get enough people to move for a PTO. It's not hard to trade Citizenship for party loyalty. People trade that easily. The RLC let people in on that trade, that in exchange for 100/100, they would get the vote of every CS approval they made. If you take away the incentive that was given originally, many of them will leave, because that's the primary reason they were here.
" Until USA bonuses dont drop to say 40/40 or lower, there will be almost no incentive to leave. "
100% incorrect.
Spain has 80/100, Poland has 100/100, Greece has 80/80, China has 100/100, Macedonia has 100/80, Taiwan has 80/60. The lowest we would have to go is 60/60 to create a large incentive for people to go back. Plus, even if we're on equal footing with these countries, people will go back so they can be part of their home country again.
I'd say you're being pretty generous calling that an assumption. It's just a case of abject stupidity. If it's assumed to be "no sweat" for us to play through it, how could any rational human being come to the conclusion that is any more sweat for them? The only people we'll be getting rid of is real Americans who quit the game because they can't stomach killing their own people for the express purpose of sabotaging their own economy :/
Civil Anarchy we shall see. Israel Stevens will likely push the same policy and 30 days from now one can assess how it works out. Your second assumption: these other countries take them. The home nation doesn't need them because they've already economically damaged the eUS. They stay; we continue to be weaker. Got the argument that they're here only for bonuses coaxed by clowns like RGR.
