My fellow Americans:
As Americans, we are a competitive lot. I myself am extremely competitive, and as such I hate to lose. That’s why a lot of people would assume that this week would seem to be bad for me. Afterall, I ran for America’s top position, CP, and was beaten in the elections by Vanek. Just based on first appearances, I should be upset, simply because I was beaten.
But in reality, I’m pretty happy. Because I didn’t lose. I won.
And to clarify, you all won as well.
Let me explain. I am, and will always be, a firm believer in country > party > self. This is something that is burned into my very soul, and will remain so. With that in mind, the beautiful thing about this election was that no matter who won the race, America would be in great hands. I know that some may disagree with whether or not it would be in great hands if I was in charge, but I think it would have been, and I am the narrator, so get over it 😛

Vanek prepared to fight the AFA
Vanek is a guy with great experience. He has been in every cabinet since forever. He has seen it all and done it all. And more importantly than all of that, he is someone that will do what he views as best for this country. He is someone that loves his nation. And he is someone that I have faith in to lead us in the coming month.
He has put together a great team of people that will help him. All of them (with the exception of Oblige) are good guys. Oblige is decent and all, but his avatar sucks. Let’s be honest here. We need a national movement to have that changed. But I digress. Vanek will be good for this country, I have zero doubts about that.
I have already withdrawn my candidacy, but I wanted to thank some people. I thank my supporters, because it is humbling to know that there are people out there that care enough to vote for and support me. And I thank Vanek for running a great race. Hopefully, in the future, people will follow our example and have mutual respect for each other when they run for CP. And I thank Oblige for taking my well intentioned trolling of him with grace. Except for the avatar thing, I am DEAD serious about that. And I ask for all of you to vote V for Victory on election day.
And be happy America. We all won.

I think he means that the only way to get better at chess is to keep playing people who can always beat you. If you always win from the first day you start chess, you are not ever going to improve your game.

I wish you had stayed in. Vanek probably still would have won but it would be nice to have another option. Fear should not be the critical path in determining who gets to earn the little medal.

Good one, idiot. Show me one instance where a person has ever been able to deviate from your unity elections without being labeled as a traitor or marginalized as a conspiracy theorist. You know full well that had Locke decided to continue with his candidacy you would not be giving him props for his grace. You'd be calling him a traitor and would blame him for handing the country over to AFA. Tell me I'm wrong. Please. Tell me that you'd have been perfectly fine with Locke remaining in the election and that no one would have said anything negative about it.
