So who the hell is Donut?

Day 1,602, 11:33 Published in Ireland Ireland by einberliner

I've been back in Ireland a couple of days now and have realised there's a great many people in the motherland that I have no idea who the hell they are. Similarly I figure there's a fair whack of them that have no idea who I am either.

So who the hell am I? Well I go by Donut and was eIrish from my joining of the game on July 15th 2009 through to January 20th 2011 when I became eCanadian. I'm RL Irish and prior to moving was very involved in the Irish army and government (I've held the Minister of Community post a bajillion times, started off the eIrish lottery and community awards, served as Minister of Information and a commander and unit leader in the Irish army. I was also vice president last year - while Canadian. I'm pretty proud of that 😛) I've done my time in congress and as PP of the now-defunct Independent Voices party.

While away I was knee-deep in The Crimson Order for most of the time and held senior positions there too, including founding the Irish divisions while they were active and captaining both at different times. I was involved in working with the newbies there and in PR until RL became manic and I had to step back. I'm still a big fan of TCO though when things calmed down I didn't rejoin as I prefer my fighting to be wholly independent of anything political and by then they'd founded a political party. I won't be joining a political party here, most likely, unless I'm needed for an election blocking or ATO type purpose. I'm a girl more interested in the battle than the Dáil.

I'm back for several reasons. Firstly if I'd stayed in eCan another couple of months I'd have been Canadian longer than Irish and I love the canucks but I couldn't have that now, could I? Secondly because I was getting twitchy there the same way I'd gotten twitchy here before I shuffled off. The final straw was the potential NE proposal against Ireland in the last term. I knew it was never going to pass but I also knew if it somehow did there'd have been no question my war paint would have been green, not red, and that kind of sold it in terms of proof of where my loyalties lay. I sold the MU I had there and came home.

Now I'm here I don't much intend to involve myself in politics in terms of standing for election at all. I'm not fond of some of the rhetoric that gets thrown around in the congressional circles and I'm far more likely to decide everyone's a tool than to put up with it. That said if any ministry needs a hand I don't mind pulling my weight. For now I've joined the boot camp MU in the hopes I can be of some use to the newer Irish citizens still trying to make their way in the eWorld.

If we haven't friended each other already please feel free to add me. I intend to give away a fair few Q6s via my shouts in the next week or so. Likewise feel free to subscribe to this paper as (following pretty immediately after this article) I intend to give stuff away from here too. When I give stuff away I don't mind who it ends up going to usually, nationality's irrelevant, but I will occasionally make it noobies only. They need stuff more, lads, and sure fair's fair.

Signing off for now (a giveaway article is near to immediately pending),
Donut o7

P.S - My buddy Moonbeam came back a day or so before me, and she's awesome. If you haven't made a friend of her yet you are most definitely missing out, lads.
