Serbia and the true nature of her "friends"

A few days have passed since Serbia has been erased. A few dozen trolling and warfare analysis articles have been written since.
The main topic was how Serbia was left alone.

I can already hear the trolls commenting:
- Oh noes! EDEN cries again! EDEN bawaaaaaaaaaw!

Bottom line is, when Serbia needed friends, there was none to be found.

Of course the entire flock of Spanish, Polish and Hungarians will say that they did help Serbia and that they joined the battlefield. However I was there too and I seen very little if any. Quite the contrary, many Hungarians fought in the Serbian opened resistance wars. Not on the Serbian side though but on the Croatian or Bulgarian side. I guess the 5 gold won for medal is how much treason is worth in ONE nowadays.

Now this article can be regarded as trolling indeed. So far I showed nothing but the obvious.
But let`s take a ride in the past and see who Serbian allies really are.

More than half year ago, Poland and Spain were EDEN countries. Before that there were 1-2 months of inner turmoil with Poland not very happy of their "position" inside our brotherhood. Poland`s main objective, wherever they been, was to be no.1. I guess they have some self-esteem issues if they need to conquer and rule over some virtual pixels in order to have fun in a game.

This couldn`t happen in EDEN. You see, EDEN is a group of friends, a brotherhood, where friendship and sportsmanship are some of our main values. There is no place here for thirst of power and betraying your allies for some petty gain. So naturally, this was not the place for Poland. All they want is to rule!

No.1 in EDEN is not Romania, or Croatia, or Bulgaria. There is no No.1. This is the secret of EDEN long lasting existence. We are a group of friends! You don`t really think you are better than your friend do you? Because if you do then that is not truly your friend.

So first thing Poland did (or tried to do) was to discredit Romania which at that time was the strongest country in EDEN. They trolled us in the papers. They even trolled us in the EDEN HQ. Their purpose was to have Romania kicked out of EDEN and this is not a fairy tale or something I made up. One of the Polish high officials (forgot his name) recognized in an interview given to a Bulgarian journalist that they wanted Romania out of EDEN and this business was unsuccessful because trolls like Wallachian and others showed all EDEN countries what Poland is made of!

So Poland failed, they couldn't force Romania out of EDEN, they couldn't make Croatia join them and betray EDEN either. Croatia stayed with their brothers. EDEN survived and Poland had to leave.

They insulted Romania the best they could calling us "romulans" and "gipsies" and everything else they could come up with. All in vain. Poland became the new Junior after the country they used to patronize in the past for betraying their allies - UK. I guess it takes ONE to know ONE!

Does anybody else need any more details about how the Polish know to show their friendship and honor? I guess not. On to the next country...

Spain
Not much to say here. They simply followed their masters when they left EDEN. The Spanish society was divided though. Many didn`t take lightly betraying their former alliance for the sake of power. In the end the "instinct" of crushing everybody in exchange for profit won.
I won`t get in too much details. At a certain point, Spain was one of the fave countries Romania had as friends in eRepublik, after Croatia of course. We built companies in Asturias. We helped them when they were getting their ass-kicked by France. We supported them after Hungary stolen their 16000 gold treasury!

And how Spain repay their former friends? By joining the enemy of course!
Actually looking at the map, I fail to see any friends Spain might have... North America hates them. South America hates them. Their European neighbors France and Portugal hates them. Spain, do you have any friends whatsoever? Does anybody (except your Polish master) even like you? I guess not.

Hungary
Not much to say here either. However, comparing to the above 2, Hungary did help Serbia. Not very convincing though but let`s give them some credit. Even though the images with the Hungarians hunting for BH medals in Serbian RWs but against Serbia are still fresh in my memory.
One Hungarian contradicted us that it`s not the Hungarian army but just a sole paramilitary. However the next day I seen another. And then yet another...

So now after this short retrospective you can sit back and wonder, what are friends for right? And articles like this one wrote by a Serb angry at his allies start to make some sense.

Is it all about power Serbia? Is that all that matters to you? Because if so you found yourself the most "adequate" gang you could find.

And if not, maybe you should reconsider your foreign policy. You can`t befriend traitors and hope they will act honorable, unless you suffer from serious delusion. Now you seen what they are worth.

There is a Zen parable about a tortoise and a scorpion wanting to cross a river. The scorpion asked the tortoise if she can take him on her shell and together cross to the other side. The tortoise refused because she feared the scorpion will bite her and she will drown. The scorpion said it wouldn't make sense because both would die. In the end the tortoise agreed, took the scorpion on board and started swimming. About the middle of the crossing the scorpion stung the tortoise. As they were both drowning, the tortoise cried, "why did you do that? Now we will both die!" "I know", said the scorpion, "but I couldn`t help it. It is my nature!

We all make mistakes. Important is to learn from them.
