אנשים יקרים, אזרחים נכבדים, חברים משכבר הימים - שלום!
חזרתי כבר לפני כמה ימים ויש לי כבר השגות שונות בנוגע לשינויים במערכת המשחק בשנתיים האחרונות - לטובה ולרעה. חלק מהדברים הפכו לנגישים יותר לכלל השחקנים, והשאר צעדו לכיוון ההפוך.

אבל ההשגה החשובה ביותר, מבחינתי לפחות - היא על הקהילה הישראלית.
העובדה שיש כאן למעלה מ-1,500 אזרחים היא יפה מאד, אני שמח לראות את המספר הזה בסטטיסטיקה של מדינת ישראל. עם זאת, קיבלתי תחושה חזקה כבר מהרגע הראשון של מחסור חמור בפעילות. בפעם הקודמת שהייתי כאן, היו לנו פורומים שונים - החל מאףאקספי ועד לפורומים של גאווין (שהוחלפו לתקופה קצרה ע"י פורומים ואחסון שסיפקתי עד הפרישה), תוכנת מסרים עם עשרות קבוצות פועלות וקולניות ואווירה של קהילה.

אני מאמין כי שורש הבעיה אינו בכמות השחקנים הישראליים - אנחנו כרגע על מספר מרשים. הבעיה היא שהמחסור בתקשורת גורם לאנשים לפעול במידור כמעט מוחלט זה מזה. אני מאמין שכל הנרשמים החדשים למשחק רוצים מאד להיות חלק מקהילה ישראלית ולייצג את הקהילה הזו מול שאר האינטרנט, אבל לא יכולים.

מדוע? לא תאמינו כמה זה פשוט - אנגלית מתסכלת. אין מה לעשות, זו המציאות. אדם שאינו דובר מטבעו שפה עם שורשים אירופיים - לטיניים כמו אנגלית, איטלקית או צרפתית, יתקשה לחיות לפי השפה הזו, או לכל הפחות לשבת ולשחק משחק בו כמה שעות ביום הוא מוקף בטקסטים רבי - מלל שכולם באנגלית.

חברים יקרים, אני מאמין שהגיע הזמן **לתרגם את אירפאבליק לעברית**. עם או בלי הסכמתם המיידית של האדמינים, הגיע הזמן לדרוש את המגיע לנו ולקחת על עצמנו את מלאכת התרגום. לשבת כעלוקה על צווארם של האדמינים, עד שנקבל אישור רשמי לתרגום המשחק.

כן, אני יודע - סביר להניח שהנהלת המשחק שואפת לתרגם את המשחק רק לשפות המדוברות בסניפים השונים שלה, כך שהכל ייעשה מבפנים. אבל אני יודע, ואני בטוח שגם רבים אחרים כאן יודעים - שהדבר היחיד שמונע מהמשחק הזה להיות פופולרי כמו איקרים או טרוויאן בישראל הוא העובדה שהמשחק לא מתורגם לעברית, מה שמונע משחקנים חדשים להתאקלם במשחק בצורה ראויה.

בוודאי - אני מאמין בהחזרת "השלטונות הישנים" לאי-ישראל. אני מאמין בקרן הישנה של מפק"י ובבייבי - בומים. ועם זאת, אני מאמין שהפתרון האולטימטיבי עבורנו הוא להתאחד יחדיו ולתרגם את המשחק.

Dear people, honored citizens, old friends – hello!

Since my returning to the game I've gathered a few comments and insights about the changes which were made in the game system in the last two years – for both sides. Some of the aspects in the game have become more accessible to all players, while others have stepped into the opposite direction.
Though the most important insight, in my opinion at least, would be on the Israeli community in EIsrael.

The fact that there are over 1,500 citizens in EIsrael is outstanding. I'm glad to see this number in the EIsrael statistics. However, I got a strong feeling of a serious lack in activity. During the last time I played, we had a couple of main forums – Starting with FXP forum and till Gavin's forums (which were replaced for a period by forums and host the I have supplied till my retirement), an active I.M program with dozens of active groups – and a sense of a real community.

I believe that that root of the problem isn't about the quantity of Israeli players, but in the lack of community that make people act in an almost total compartmentalization one from each other. I believe that all of the new born EIsraeli citizens really wish to be part of the EIsrael community and represent this community, our community, in front of the rest of the internet , but simply can't.

You won't believe how simple the reason is – in an Israelis eyes, English is frustrating. There is nothing that can be done on the subject, this is reality. A person who does not speak as a nature language one of the European languages, as English of French, would simply find it difficult to "live" by it later, as playing, hours every day in a game environment that is written completely in English.

Ladies and gentlemen – I believe that the time has come – we must translate EIsrael to the Hebrew language. With or without the immediate approval of the admins, its time for us to take a stand and demand what is ours – to take in our hands the mission of translating the game. To settle as a leech on the admins neck, until we will get the official approval for our request.

Yes, I know. Its more than likely that the management wishes to translate the game only to languages that are spoken in its branches, so it would all be done as an inside job. But I know, as many others, that the only thing that keeps the game from being popular in Israel just like Ikariam or Travian is the fact that the game is not translated into the Hebrew language, what keeps new players from settling in the community in a proper way.

Of course – I believe in returning "the old regime" to EIsrael. I believe in the old foundation of MAFKI (Israel Ministry of Development) and in baby booms. Yet, I know that the only ultimate solution to this problem is to unite as one and translate this game.
