Poetry. Good or bad
Cun-Bo-Dawex
Lately there has been alot of hub-bub about poetry in the media, i for one agree that lately more than enough poetry is being posted in the media and at that most of them are stupid poem and are breaking copyrights by writing them but what i will say is the following
in RL ireland is famous for its culture be it, its music, stories or even leprachauns, from the poems and songs of old to W.B, Yeats, so what i say is let poetry be published but only that of which is created by the publisher and has revelance to the current or past affairs of e-Ireland
For example
"Petrescu rose to power,
Despite all that we had done
he brought upon an evil shower
By god he was a dastardly one"
Poetry like such i believe should be fine it tells a story of what happened in e-Ireland and i wrote it not some famous or unheard of poet
"I wondered lonely as a cloud,
High o'er vales and hills,
When all at once i saw a crowd,
a host of golden daffodils"
As lovely as poerty of the such is it can be annoying when every second article of the such is posted plus it is not written by the poster so it ruins the point
So i say why not have e-Ireland have some culture, maybe set up a section in the forums titled Culture it is what ireland is famous for i say allow the first poem but frown upon the second
This is my view and i hope others agree with me please comment and vote on this article as your views would be nice to see

DISCUSSION OVER.
I say keep culture ingame, forums are unreliable of late, and don't reach all residents.
I reserve my frowns for things I don't understand.
Nice of you to invite debate, my friend.
In regards to copyright, I believe that the use of copy written poetry (as well as much public domain poetry) would easily fall under fair use (see Wikipedia).
Many of the arguments of poetry as spam hold no water as posting a piece of poetry original or otherwise does not fall under any currently accepted definition (I encourage the spam claimers to research said definitions on their own.)
Nor does poetry violate any eRepublik guidelines on freedom of the press (though many of the anti-poetry rabble have continually broken Citizen Law 3.1 in their distasteful critiques)
Lastly, the description of poetry as "stupid" saddens this commenter as poems are inanimate objects and hold no intrinsic intelligence.
Poor use of poetry as with spelling, punctuation and diction can indicate possible stupidity in a writer, though more often than not just laziness, but the work itself is exempt.
Nice article though 🙂 Voted of course.
I dont mind poetry (although personally I dont see the appeal of it) in the media, what I'm annoyed about is the sheer mass quantity of poems on different newspapers.
@Theus I think we all know that arose due to pure spite at the sudden backlash.
Bad very bad and annoying
Padraig! Was that truly a public admission to your poor behavior? I'm proud of you! They may let you into ePurgatory yet!
@DT naughty!
