Person of the Month? Maybe? Who knows? [MoC]

Day 3,214, 21:15 Published in Ireland United Kingdom by Hexshade

Well, Hello to all. How are you today? I hope you are doing well. It's been, what, six days since I last did an article. A lot can happen in six days. A lot has certainly happened on site. From my understanding, there should be a lot of big things underway, so be on the look out. [Disclaimer: We, The Discontent is not responsible for any disappointments or smashed dreams that may result in getting your hopes up. Nothing is set in stone yet. Take a chill pill.]

So, getting back to what is important (Me, of course) I have recently been appointed as Minister of Community (HOORAY!). This means that I have to come up with fun and interesting activities for the general population to participate in (SHIT!). Just give me a second. I'll come up with something. *Cue Thinking Montage*

(Artist Rendition of the Author deep in thought. Yes, The Thinker was, in fact, made in my image. The more you know.)

"GREAT SCOTTS, MARTY! I'VE GOT IT!" I have an idea of something fun (Hopefully our definitions of fun are the same)! Why don't I, as the the Grand Supreme Minister of the Community, Honor those to whom I render service? Though I suppose the Title gave it away. I want to do a Person of the Month/Week/Measurement of Time/When I Feel Like It (We may have to change the name, I know).

Here's how it would work. Every so often, I'll announce a contest. I will ask the leaders of each party for a commoner (one who is not in the public eye/ does not hold a position in the party) who they feel have done exemplary service to their party and to their country. Then I will publish a list of the Candidates along with a summary of their service. People will then message me with their votes and the one with the most votes wins. Or if I notice somebody doing an exemplary job working for eIreland without any expectation of compensation, I may just award them on the spot. But either way, You're a Winner! YAY! *confetti falls*

At the start, the winner would mostly get gloating rights/a virtual thumbs up, but who knows? Maybe later on down the line, there will be some real prizes.

So, let me know. Is this something the general community would be interested in? Am I just stupid? Let me know if this piques your interest. Or don't. It's your choice.

(Also, we would like to entertain a motion that Mr. Winston Hope Smith receive an honorary Person of the Whatever award. We know that grade school is hard [especially if it's taking you as long to complete as it is taking him], but Mr. Smith's excitement to show off his new found knowledge of paragraphs on the last article really shows that he might finally be nipping first grade in the bud. Way to go buddy!)
