Un des sujets internationaux ayant le plus été discuté ces derniers temps en France, concerne la volonté de certains citoyens de la ville-région du Québec de faire sécession de leur pays, le Canada. Ces mêmes citoyens Québecois ont contacté la France et les eFrancais pour, d'une part sensibiliser l'opinion française à ce sujet et d'autre part, nous demander d'apporter notre soutien à cette initiative.

Les principaux problèmes soulevés par les Québecois sont la non francophonie de leur pays et même la non reconnaissance (le bilinguisme n'étant pas d'usage) de leur langue française.
Depuis, le premier ministre (maire) de la ville-région de Québec, Eric Boucher, a apporté son soutien à cette manoeuvre tel qu'expliqué dans cet article : [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-518892.html]article[/a]

Sentant le sujet prendre de l'importance autant au Canada qu'en France (cf article de Marianne à ce propos : [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-519421.html]article[/a]), le gouvernement Canadien n'aura pas tardé à publier un article expliquant leur point de vue : [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-520971.html]article[/a]
Le gouvernement français, bien qu'ayant exposé son opinion à ce propos à droite à gauche, et bien qu'il semblât que le gouvernement Canadien connaisse, ou tout du moins se doute de notre position, tenait à clarifier la situation.

Nous ne pouvons nier la sympathie qu'engendre le fait qu'une région Canadienne fasse usage de la même langue que la notre, cependant nous éprouvons la même sympathie à l'égard de nos alliés fidèles du Canada.
De plus, en connaissance de la position adoptée par le gouvernement Canadien, il va de soi que la France ne tentera aucune manoeuvre politique et encore moins militaire pour soutenir une éventuelle sécession du Québec, si le Canada s'y oppose.

Nous considérons qu'il s'agit là d'un sujet interne au Canada avec lequel nous n'avons pas à interférer. S'il s'avérait que le Québec parvienne a faire voter démocratiquement sa sécession du Canada, nous reverrions alors la situation, mais ce n'est pour le moment pas au goût du jour.

Cependant, à l'instar de la solution proposée par Adam Sutler le président du Canada, si certains citoyens Québecois souhaitaient déménager en France, nous les accueillerions bien évidemment avec le plus grand plaisir et tâcherions de leur accorder la meilleure intégration qui soit.

One of the most discussed internation matter in France at the moment is about the willing of some of the Québec citizens to secede from their country, Canada. Those people contacted France and its citizens to sensitize the French opinion as well as asking for our support in this initiative.

The main concerns of Québec citizens are that their country is a not French speaking one and that their country doesn't really recognize (bilinguism not being not using it officially) the French language.
The Prime Minister of the city-region of Quebec, Eric Boucher, has since declared he was supporting this initiative as he expressed it in his article : [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-518892.html]article[/a]

Feeling this subject growing in both Canada and France (cf. article in Marianne on this matter : [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-519421.html]article[/a]), the Canadian governement didn't wait long before publishing its opinion : [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-520971.html]article[/a]

The French governement, though exposing its opinion on this subject here and there, and though it seems Canadian governement is aware of what we think, wants to clarify this situation.

We can't deny our sympathy to the Quebec citizens because of their French language, however we do feel the same sympathy to our loyal allies from Canada.
Moreover, now knowing the exact position of the Canadian governement, it is obvious that France won't try any political movement (not even mentioning a military one!) to support a potential secession of Quebec, if Canada is against this idea.

We do consider this matter is an internal Canadian one and that we don't have to interfere with it. May the situation happen where Quebec succeeds in seceding from Canada democratically (and that Canada is happy about that) then we would re-evaluate the situation, but it is definitely not for today.

Nevertheless, as proposed by the president of Canada, Adam Sutler, if some Quebec citizens are ready to move to France we would welcome them with great pleasure and would try our best to help them integrate.
