No Thank You, Mr. Acting President

I’m posting this very quickly to explain why I am turning down the position of Prime Minister (Chief of Staff to my american readers) in President Pak_Land’s cabinet.
I have nothing but respect for Mr. Pak_Land, and his Acting President, Mr. Shahbaz but I find myself strongly in disagreement with the tactics used by them in the build up to this election. Prior to the election, Rising Pakistan and Stone Ocean spent literally hours debating who should be our next CP and how it should be decided. These negotiations were all done on the understanding that Pak_Land would be the president RP wanted and should he win, he’d actually govern.
This has turned out to not be the case. Mr. Pak_Land has suffered an accident in real life. Let me say here I was him a swift and painless recovery and I hope he understands why my turning down his offered position is not personal in the slightest.
My problem is that Mr. Pak_Land suffered this accident, which made it impossible for him to effectively play eRepublik, before the elections. He ran for President knowing that he would not be able to carry out the duties of his office and as such I believe Rising Pakistan should have fielded a different candidate so as to not mislead voters.
I have worked in a number of cabinets in different countries where the President is not as active as he should be and I can tell you that they are often very stressful and almost never are productive. I have chosen not to take part in it, partly as a protest over Pak_Land’s future activity, and partly because I don’t have the energy to work my ass off to cover the fact that our President is AFK again.
Furthermore, Tango is an idiot, please ignore him the next time he ‘trolls’.
I’d like to conclude by again wishing Mr. Pak_Land a swift recovery and stating my hope that he recovers in time to have an effective presidency.

I read it. Electing a popular figurehead who will not rule is not unheard of, but if he knew he was not going to be able to fulfill the office, he should have stepped aside and let the country decide it's own president, not an AFK puppet at the end of someone else's hands.

Furthermore, you are being hostile while I was specifically trying not to be. As for putting political shit before pakistan, Rising Pakistan has had control of pakistan for over a year, in that time the economy has stagnated, you have been kicked around by India and the media has died. Stone Ocean takes power for one month and we become a regional power and not Rising Pakistan demand power back. How is Rising Pakistan demanding power back anything but political? Please, take your strawmen and leave unless you are ready to ahve a mature conversation,

You are forgetting about Max, whom was inactive for most of his term. Pakland suffered his work accident after / during the ballot. Even so, he is making an effort to stay up-to-date via cell.

-Exodus has Donaldson give out citizenships; knowignly breaking the deal
-Exodus is closer to a majority due to this

I did not comment on Max, but if he was going to be AFK during his term, he shouldn't have run either. It is good to hear Policy is trying to make the best of the situation and keep in touch, and I wish him, and all of Pakistan, the best of luck. I just wish you guys could work together more often and not fight so much. Your goals are nearly identical, so who cares who gets to be at the helm so long as you are all winning, right?

It's a common Pakistani joke to list your goals to conquer Sweden/Norway/Spain/India, for more info, see AC's goals on the ballot sheet.

i have a hard time believing that pakland broke his arm before or during the elections. i spoke to him on msn that day quite a bit, and it didn't seem as if he was typing with one arm.
