I am a new player still. My idea for this game is to add a bit of me into every aspect. My desire is to be a player whose opinion can be taken and given respect it has earned, so maybe it is a bit early for that but here goes anyway.
Before the previous congress elections I noticed something that has been at the back of my mind – the political parties in eSA seem very dead, all of them. What our political parties rely on is the party ranking page. As a new player we all know that we join a party that is the biggest (hence IA) or one with an unusual name (hence the rest).
Let me tell you of my experience, I too joined the IA and waited, well for anything. Then I was PM in the game by another player Oprah asking me please get involved – eSA needs me. I then left IA and joined Oprah – I mean OOPs – As I arrived I was greeted and sent here and there. Activity.
Later on I found out that my ideologies didn’t fit in with what OOPs stands for, but rather that IA is actually more in line with my beliefs? Weird hey?
As I stand back and look at the current political field, I realise that eSA politics is very similar to RL. We have a person who brings a point forward – maybe slightly biased (Be careful Oprah you might give the impression of being self centred in your first article but not in your second) – A Point which I believe is validated. We then find others respond in anger which seems to be a common thing in eSA. Sorry guys I’ve enjoyed the articles – expecially yours wilpanzer the pictures rocked – But seems like my statue pic is true in more ways than my comment.
I am still waiting like others in the game to read a response from the IA (is it still asleep?) I don’t believe we the eSA citizens deserve the attack of a person but rather a discussion that does not involve name calling and belittling others.
A response – Someone accused IA of being a party that is dead so what is your response IA (tell everyone why IA is not dead tell us why we should join IA. Who knows maybe some people will move to your party, maybe even me?).
I’m all for the reviving of politics but not at the expense of players. I don’t believe you guys are afforded the opportunity of being offended. Take every situation and turn it into something that will benefit IA. Let what we say be accredited to ourselves let it stick to our personality (By the way many of the people who are offended by Oprah and have now said what a useless CP she was, congratulated her on a good term not even 6 days ago? )
Don’t be emotional but rather calculated, well informed and confident. Give us something we are not expecting.

Very, very well written Ricky. Your levelheadedness is commendable.
Thing is, I won't care if all parties burn down. It's the ideology and people that makes things happen.
IA is just a party, but the people in IA is my friends and comrades. I wanted to leave IA numerous times, because I didn't feel welcome, until the old guys left. Then I realized one thing.
IA is not there for the people, but the people for IA. And for that the IA people are returning fire. It's a massive insult to throw allegations at someone's identity or what they believe in.
You'd have more respect for some of us if you see what effort we put into the game, what ideas we had and ambitions.
All of the effort was just not to be. My plan for a more united eSA was simply looked at, people don't realize that it's up to them to make the spark turn into a flame.
I was angered too, but then I remembered a thing someone once said to me: "Never enter a debate where the opposition already won in their own eyes."
Truth to be told, I don't see IA as a beast or a great party. Seriously, what MoDA did in the last few days was more effort that any party would even think of putting in. I see it as a brotherhood. I don't hate anyone in IA, I admire everyone. If I joined some other party, there might be a personality clash.
There is no gain for IA retaliating to your allegations. There is only confusion and more agitation.
Thank you wil I always rely on your input and you know me maybe better than anyone else in this game. Grateful for you calculated input and I believe we are still going to see a lot of good things from the IA
