Honours

Every Month, the honours committee awards indiviudals for their work towards the UK.

This month, the Honours Committee is giving recognition to the following individuals for their careers of service to the UK.

HexXA, MBE

HexXA first made a name for himself as a paratrooper in the UK Special Forces. He served there with distinction for many months, moving up to platoon leader, SAS member, and commanding officer. His military expertise and experience made him the perfect choice to be the Minister of Defence, a position which he held, and served well in, for two terms. During his watch as CO of the UK Special Forces and as Minister of Defence, the paratroopers improved, despite conditions making it damned near impossible to do so. He held together the elite corps of the UK military while the UK floundered in inactivity.

This alone would be enough to warrant honouring, but HexXA has also served the UK as a Member of Parliament, winning a seat in the House of Commons for several terms. Though his political career has always taken a back seat to his military career, it is nonetheless impressive, as well.

In recognition of this long career of service to the UK, the Honours Committee hereby endorses HexXA for the title of Member of the British eRepublik Empire.

Paddyohale, MBE

Paddyohale is most notable for his service in the UK military. He was the first Commanding Officer and founder of the Territorial Army, also known as the UK Reserves, a position in which he served with extreme devotion for many months. In addition, he contributed to overall military strategy, bringing his real life experience into play. His contributions also extended to UK military structure.

Though his military career was impressive, Paddyohale's contributions to the UK politics and community are also worthy of note and honouring. He served several terms in the House of Commons, and he was the force that held the UK Reform Party together in the summer of 2008, serving one term as Party President. He was also fervent in his drive to improve and perfect the Wiki page for the UK, and to this day many of his improvements can still be found, including the list of UK mayors, the pages for many UK regions, and also the templates for the original Honours. His many threads encouraging Wiki activity were some of the most active on the forums, generating impressive community involvement.

In recognition of this long career of service to the UK, the Honours Committee hereby endorses Paddyohale for the title of Member of the British eRepublik Empire.

Malta_1990, MBE (kumnaa's departure nomination)

malta_1990 has been a force in UK politics for almost a year now. His CV may seem to speak for itself, but his experience and his accomplishments deserve honouring. One of the primary architects of TUP's renaissance, he served two terms as its Party President, and has served nine terms in the House of Commons. malta has been an NHS director for two terms, and was Underminister and then Minister of Information, and founded the combined Ministry of Information and Education. His wealth of experience and accomplishments in all facets of politics earned him election as Prime Minister in April 2009, a position in which he served with distinction, though the end of his term was marred by controversy.

In addition to his long service to the UK in the realm of politics, malta_1990 has also served in the UK military. First in the Territorial Army and Royal Guard, and now in the Royal Navy, where his leadership abilities have earned him command of the HMS Defiant. Captain malta_1990 has earned a seat in the House of Lords for his long service, experience, and accomplishments, and as a Lord he continues to work for the good of the UK.

In recognition of this long career of service to the UK, the Honours Committee hereby endorses malta_1990 for the title of Member of the British eRepublik Empire.
