If it goes for everybody, it’s fair enough to me

Day 3,358, 01:17 Published in Romania Romania by PRINTSY

I’m writing about this because maybe some other newcomers will ask themselves the same question as I did when faced with that terribly dangerous mission of becoming a Junior Journalist(and, of course, because I’d like to have 25 people commenting on this. What did you think?)

No need to change things even if they seem illogical. It happened like this: I got to the point where the mission was to create a newspaper. Since I’ve already done that a week or so before, the mission was considered accomplished and the next one appeared – the mission for Junior Journalist, and this one says like this: “You have a newspaper, now it’s time to use it. Write one interesting article for your fellow players.
Requirements:
• Write 1 article that receives comments from 25 different users”

Well, nothing out of the ordinary. It’s normal to prove that you’re able to write a sentence or two that would make some people interested enough to read you and leave a comment.

What I don’t understand is why my previous two articles, with enough people that commented, one of them even no. 1 in international news for almost 1 day – and endorsed by Plato - (yeah, I wanted to brag a little, that’s actually [not!] the real motivation behind this article), were not taken into consideration.

And the eRepublik team was nice enough to explain that to me: "Only articles written after the mission has been started will be taken into consideration."

How stupid of me to think that if the already created newspaper counted, the articles written before, which had been read and commented by enough people, would count as well.

So after I expressed my thoughts on the matter, the next answer was as follows: "The mission is made to work like explained in last answer, and it might seem unfair. But these conditions goes for everyone wanting to finish this mission."

Well, in that case, if it goes for everybody, it’s fair enough to me. Can’t wait to finish the mission. No questions asked. 😉
