Gracefully I Take My Bow

Day 1,050, 18:20 Published in USA USA by St Krems

It’s been a wild two months America. We’ve had some highs, we’ve had some lows and we’ve had some more highs. We’ve seen the admins breathe life into the game and we’ve seen our country find a new determination and strength in its stride. Compare the America of today to the America of two months ago, aside from some slight border shifts you’ll also notice that we are an entirely different country. The difference lies in the attitude of the average player. We have tasted blood and we like it. I like to think I had a part in this but I know I couldn’t have done it alone. Above and beyond all others, there’s one group that deserve to be thanked for their work these two month:

The Military
If you’re not in the military, you won’t understand how much these players do for our country. They are the backbone of our strength and the work horse of our nation. They do not ask for recognition nor praise but I think they deserve some anyway. I gave the orders, these guys actually made it happen. To the men and supposed women who spend hours of their time distributing food, updating rosters, sending out orders and fighting in obscure RWs around the world every day, I say Thank You on behalf of a grateful nation.

I’d also like to take a moment to mention three people, all very special to me, without whom my term would have been an absolute catastrophe. Inwegen, Alexander Hamilton and Colin Lantrip all deserve mention for the organisation, commitment and skill they displayed at their respective jobs. Alex in particular stepped up to the role of Minister of Foreign Affairs like he was born for it and will make a great Vice President.

As for myself America? It’s time for me to take my final bow. The curtain has come down, the band has packed up and the audience has gone home. As a personal freind of mine once quoth:

“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;”

And this is my exit.

I’ll still be around, America, but I’m going to a better place to bring war to India. It’s OK, I’ve found you a new special someone and he’s promised to take just as good care of you as I did. And he’s an ape.

Take care America, I’ll never forget how much fun it’s been.

Yours in sincerity,

St Krems
