Government Update [Day 1728]
Myung Kei
Good-day to you Citizens of Japan,
After reading through the top of this article you may be wondering what is going on and why is there a patriotic banner situated at the top of this article. Rest assured this has nothing to do with the fact that nothing else of suitable size could be found at this moment, or the fact that I am here to inform you of recent going-ons in the Government.
Actually, both of those things have everything to do with it: as the new Minister of the Interior it has been my tasked duty to report what the administration is up to.
Seeing as how this is a lot to cover, I don't have much time to post pretty pictures. Ready? Okay!
Presidential Apology on Forum Debacle
As most everyone is aware by now, over the past few days there have been several cabinet resignations and high tempered conversations occurring within the highest halls of government. Two high profile members of the administration, MoFA Alfred-Ball and MoS Fruitcommando, resigned a few days ago due to conflicts with the administration. A short while after MoF Akki resigned under a combination of similar pretenses and Real Life events that would be coming up.
In the middle of all of this, President Nowe suffered from a meltdown and wiped everything from the national forums. The President has taken it upon himself to issue an apology to the nation, which can be viewed at this link below:
President's Official Apology
In it, the president details the history surrounding his ascension to office, the now resigned cabinet members, and the day in which he cracked. We leave it up to you to judge the sincerity and/or honesty of this address.
French Airstrike
You might have noticed this:
Airstrike Proposal from France
It's an Airstrike, or "puddle jumping" war that allows a country to attack a non-border country. The reasoning behind this proposal was so that France would be able to establish a home in Asia away from Poland.
Of course, this was deliberated without input from the Japanese Government.
Unfortunately for Le France, Poland has conquered the last French region, which will result in the Airstrike battle being closed before it starts. As Romania has discovered, even if the airstrike is started before the attacking nation is wiped off the map, the battle will still close when the country no longer exists.
For the moment, this means that Japan will not be affected by the Airstrike, giving us one less adversary to deal with. However, according to the Foreign Affairs Department, this will "not affect our diplomacy with France . . . we would like to keep the good relationships [we have built] with the French."
The President and the cabinet will continue an open dialogue with France, and will monitor the situation accordingly.
War with eROC
Speaking of conflict, we have an open war right now with eTaiwan, do you remember?
Good.
Currently the President and the Foreign Affairs team are conducting negotiations on a peaceful settlement with eROC and as a result have decided not to order an official counterinsurgency effort if such a solution were to arise. This does not mean however, that citizens are not allowed to fight if they so choose to do so.
The Government has been attempting to negotiate, but so far the eROC officials have been dragging their feet in the talks and have acted very slowly to address our concerns. President Nowe made it clear that Japan "would like [its'] sovereignty respected, and for [eTaiwan] to stop invading us until we decide on an agreement."
Otherwise, the government will endorse fighting in the open battles and starting Resistance Wars. In the meantime the President has asked Congress to ratify the Mutual Protection Pact with Poland in order to create a larger MPP stack.

Incidentally, information on the French Airstrike is also listed there.

Good to see eJapan getting on its feet.
Voted. Now we have one step in The Future.
Thats eROC attitudes,i am not surprise. As long as they have mastercard power, they never want to/hesitantly negotiate with anyone.

Good article.

You have to know, only a few in France wanted this airstrike.
Kiss from the real France !
Becoming friends with the country that wanted to airstrike us is the best idea since wanting to willingly allow them to take our regions.
If you are being sarcastic Joe Rooke, then I guess you only know one style of politics. Which is fine, not too many people can understand it.

Good luck. It'll be needed.
You should have someone to monitor eROC's press...
Most of the press are agree to keep fighting because "eJP declare the WAR first".
In this situation, eROC government is hard to find a way to sooth the emotion of war party.
That is why you feel eROC government act very slowly with negotiation.
Be patient and far-sighted for the future.
Find a best way to release the emotion of eROC's patriot.
Forget the WAR ongoing and plan the "LONG term peace treaty" to negotiate with eROC government.
Making a judgement like that based on a single comment I posted looks almost as ignorant as you suggested I was being.
Regardless, I don't get into arguments on eRep, so I'm gonna try and nip this in the bud by requesting that it goes no further. No need for anything to unnecessarily escalate, especially with all the drama that's happened in eJapan recently.
Very nice article.
