Elected After All, A Little RL Stuff

Day 679, 16:06 Published in Ireland Ireland by einberliner

So I really intended to come home today and write a community ministry article immediately then felt I needed to do this one first.

So, firstly, and I'll explain this in the Comm. article too, I've been around but not so active as normal since Saturday. My laptop was bowing out and needed replacing and I had to set up the new one, having first shopped around and found said new one. Yesterday and today work were pretty hectic, though I'm back to normal now.

Anyway, on to the point of this article. When I got back from work this evening I had an alert waiting for me and when I clicked on it I was informed there was a proposal waiting for my vote.

Which was interesting because, if you followed the election you'll know, I wasn't elected. Anyway I noticed then I was up by five gold and Plato was congratulating me on being elected, so I guess the bug in the system (it was speculated at the time that Conor and I, having more experience points and having tied on votes, should have been elected in the region of the Southeast) was fixed. I didn't file an admin ticket myself but I know that others did and it looks like the admins retroactively fixed the bug.

Which I thought ye'd all want to know. I'm not entirely sure if this effects everyone (though I saw Conor is a congressperson too now), the original election results are still the ones that are printed (i.e stating myself and Conor weren't elected).

In other news: Somehow I have forgotten my pass to the forum, and had to set up a new forum account because the security question was clearly me typing any old thing in a box at four in the morning (sorry lads but I'd been signing up to a lot of forums and stuff at the time and keeping all passes different is not an easy thing). Still waiting for the forum to send me the new activation email (hours later) but I intend to be back on there asap (either by wising up and remembering how to log on einberliner, or as einberliner_the_donut).

Have lost some stuff in the switchover but most should be recoverable, old laptop is sort of functioning, if cranky lol.

Yours in service,
Einberliner

P.S - Am now donating the 5g to the Irish State Community Fund like I said I would.
