It was a big fight.
It was a good fight.
It was an important fight.
Sadly, my side lost.
There were a few minutes in which the server "locked" the battle, and many, including me, saw the ticker in our favor - a win of 50k or less. While it looked like a win, the computer crunched numbers. As TaKunCat said to me, a close win is "the best kind." As I said, "also the riskiest."
That gamble turned out to be a big loss. The fight went into overtime, went into tomorrow, and after a lot more damage, it ended underground. I am sad. But I am not signing any of the tickets or moaning in the press about it.
Sometimes you just got to grow a pair and admit when you've lost a match.

Apparently OT doesn't depend on time anymore.
If you genuinely believe you shouldn't have lost I don't see any reason to "grow a pair" and suck it up

Sorry, Buck, I can't agree with you here. The battle went into NML several times. Once I can understand (server lag), but not more than that. Admins need to fix this, pronto.

According to the erepublik rules, when the wall is above starting number after 24h, the winner is defensor's side. I believe that admins will follow that.
well, admins should fix this problem.

I think it was a system bug. I was watching the battle till the last second, and the wall was in no man's land. Then attacker continued to tank and wall dropped to somewhere in between, but after a while the wall suddenly grow back to no man's land + 100k more for population's defense. I guess system already judged the defendant to be victory then so it restored the defense wall to the initial value. However it did not stop there and fight continued...

Every article you write Buck makes sense and has meaning, but this one, I just don't see it. We won when the clock hit :00. Therefore, the admins should fix the mistake instead of making us "grow a pair". We put a lot of money into a battle we should've won, and honestly, we SHOULDVE won.

You disappointed me. Crunching the numbers? I'm sorry, but how can you explain that? You're substituting that which is unknown (why we lost) and saying it was because the server had to redo the math? Unless it uses some random numbers 2+2 always = 4! When the battle reached 0:00 it was in no man's land. We rightfully won.

clear, on a timeline, more definitive than screenshots and videos which can be explained away as "lag"
but "lag" doesn't go on for 40 minutes after the end of the battle.
"lag" would not allow more fighting after the time limit.
the battle was in one end or the other at closing time, time was added on and the results were reversed in that time.
I'd be just as pissed if it went the other way-- it's the Admins who messed up, not our battle foes.
Wall value, damage inflicted and time are not synchronized (or it seems they are not). That is why situations like this happen.
Wall value is updated every 30 seconds I guess while damage is calculated in real time. Because of that, you see wall in "No Man's Land" when it's actually somewhere else.
This happened few times during epic battles of Slavonia, we (Serbs) we angry and dissapointed but in the end no one felt that someone stole victory from us.
That may be the cause with the screenshots but as far as total damage and the graph are concerned when time was up, the battle was secure.

In fact, both sides had equal time to put on some 'extra' damage and Phoenix do it harder...thats all

that's true this counter doesn't show real wall, but every 30 sec it gets updated , your point would be good when the first wall update after 00;00 would show that regions is not secured, but it didn't. We reached secured wall 3 times in overtime.
I can undestand lags and battles that go on for 2-3 min more, but 20?
I don't know if you remember but there was a battle PL-HUN for Eastern Slovakia, which went overtime and PL lost it. But later admins gave it Eastern Slovakia to us.

Regardless of the outcome and what happened, I'm proud to be a part of this battle. It was a great fight indeed.
There was a bug though, it said in National and International events, Sorlandet has been secured by Australia in the war versus Indonesia

Thanks for your wonderful article. It was a great fight. There was a server problem occured, but we had been through it before. I read there is a resistance war going on. I hope it'll be a great fight.
I'm not happy with current war module, too much bug like this until now.
but I had to admit that I'm happy with current result.
well, it will be hard for admin to redo the result. Since it can make players want to redo all battle with similiar problems in the past. Regardless of the outcome, it was good battle that I longed for 🙂
