Choices, CHOICES!

Day 707, 15:24 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Foreign Ministry

Good Evening Citizens,

My second article in two days, I'm surprised too. Unfortunately, admin has decided to up the price of MPPs, as DT has no doubt informed you. And so while I had intended to spend the evening sorting out ambassadors I have to defer to this, all important business of war-games. In the process I have had to cut Dáil discussion time short, and I apologise, but in this case, I think procedure is outweighed by the fighting pleasure of our, whats the phrase? Baby Brutes? *ahem* I'm sure that's somewhat correct. Those of you who know me know that brushing procedure aside is anathema (i'm sure i spelt that wrong, forgive me.), but if I let the war games lapse I'm sure the MOD's cortege, Casteneda and several others would beat me to a pulp. So...

We have 3 options in terms of war-games, and even more, we may choose to pick a combination of 2, allowing us to have 24 hour wargames, something of an international trend. I have been informed by Dubh that we are financially able to afford both, and MoNC Edana Savage has said some of her noobs have complained of missing war-games, and I have myself so I'm sure we can all agree 24 hour war games are something to be encouraged.

Option 1 - PEACE War Games

We have contacted the PEACE war games organiser, Reina Borg, in both English and her native tongue but have not yet managed to get a reply. Nevertheless, we have been informed the PEACE games will be changing location (not in Lith/Lat), meaning another war game would have to have another MPP with the new location. At the time of writing we have not been able to track down figures.

Option 2 - Mushroom/Slovakian War Games

While these have been referred to as EDEN games, the organisers of Slovakia and Finland, prefer to call them neutral, as everyone is accepted following of vote of Czech Republic the contract can be viewed here:

http://www.erepublik.com/en/forum/topic/129259/agreement-between-czech-republic-poland-slovakia-spain-romania-greece-and-m/3

The contract states the war-games end on day 717, we have been informed they will be renewed, and will occur in the same place, being we only need the 1 MPP.

Costs for the games are the start up costs and the per battle costs. Per battle costs are calculated using population. This means we pay using our population as a percentage of the total population of the nations taking part, cross-referenced with the actual battle costs for all nations. This is updated every Sunday. Thanks to Niall-h who also gathered this information 😉 Payment can be made every week, or we can pay a lump sum to stay above balance etc. meaning it is quite easy to exit should we so wish.

The costs of these Games are:

Own MPP - 30 Gold
Their MPP - 30 Gold
Compensation for embargo - 15 Gold
Per battle - Between 1.5 and 1.6 Gold

Total 75 + Battles

Battles will begin at 12:00 every second day, erep time.

Option 3 Sol War Games:

These games have expanded hugely in line with the trend for 24/7 fighting. Most nations now take part in them. They run in sync with the "Alliance" war games. Sol war games participants need to be voted in by the Sol council, and the nation of the Philippines has a veto. A contract for the games is currently being drafted, and can be viewed here:

http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0ASAMwnWKfsgyZGc3emh0NjdfNWhybTI4Z2Ri&hl=en

The figures we have are:

Own MPP - 30 Gold
Their MPP - 30 Gold
Per battle - 3 Gold

Total of 60 + Battles

They start at roughly 13:00 erep time.

My personal preference.....

is to go Sol and Mushroom, because of the fact information from PEACE is so hard to obtain and they would be hard pushed to beat the per battle cost of the Mushroom games. I may have lied when I said 24/7 .... its more 23/7 but that's certainly better what we have now? eh?

We are ready to start moving pretty soon on these, having spoken to the concerned organisers.

Please Irish Citizens, go here:
