Canada The Bridge. Rental changes.

Day 3,924, 10:17 Published in Canada Canada by Exalted Druid

We have aggreed to let Bulgaria and Lithuania use Canada as a bridge. They are switching USA regions to temporarily avoid the new determination rules.

I did not realize they were ready to do it now so sorry for the late notice. No one would attack us for real as long as Serbia and Romania are here.

With the new rental rules we will need new deals this term.

Canada's problem since Resource Wars is we have the 3rd best resource bonus's in the game and are to small to protect them. Lots of small countries took nothing but stinky fish to avoid this problem.

We want to remain wealthy and protected.

The GDP rate the Admins is using is to high for anyone to rent anything but we have the option to rebate rental income by passing donation laws to foreign government orgs.

Canada is free to rent as much as we want. The renter nation however is restricted to renting only 3 resources world wide.

As far as protection is concerned all we need to do is have a protecting country move to new territories every reset. We have 4 resource territories and 9 non resource territories.

They move around on the 9 non resource territories. If the Protector went down to two territories at a time the determination would be at 60 days or 88 days with three territories.

Romania is very keen to rent and Serbia has not shown the same interest. Romania is capable of meeting our security and rental income needs itself I believe.

Serbia does have first right of refusal on resource rental as they are the ones that helped us get the resources in the first place. It is up to Serbia to decide.

Under the new system we concede specific resources not territories. In fact our resource territories have to remain in our control for the rentals to work.

By luck our weapons, food and housing resources territories are all connected so Canada will have decent resource bonus. Regional bonus's are not effected by renting out.
