Belgian Platoon

A motion for a Belgian division in the eUK Paratroopers has been approved by congress. However this does not apply to the reserves. Here is my promise to the Belgians:
The Belgian army would have their own commander and platoon leaders. Ultimately they would be under the control of the UK Minister of Defence.
The Belgians will be treated like normal soldiers, therefore refusal to fight results in dishonorable discharge from the Paratroopers.
However, if the Belgians are asked to fight against the Netherlands they have the right to refuse without fear of punishment. However they are not allowed to fight with the Dutch against us as this will result in dishonourable discharge.
Belgians will be provided with orders in their own language.
Belgians will get the same amount of funding and support as all other paras.
If you are Belgian and want to join the Belgian platoon, or apply for command of it please apply via the forum or here.
Finally, could a Belgian please translate this into Dutch for me? All of it apart from this bit. Thank you.

De toevoeging van een Belgische afdeling in het UK leger is goedgekeurd door het congres.
Dit is niet van toepassing op de reserves. Dit zijn de beloften voor de Belgen:
Het Belgische leger zal zijn eigen commandant en afdeling leider hebben. Uiteraard staan ze onder het gezag van de Minister van Defensie van de UK. De Belgen zullen worden behandeld zoals andere soldaten, bij weigering van een opdracht zullen ze onherroepelijk uit het leger worden gezet. Enkel als de Belgen worden gevraagd om te vechten tegen Nederlander dan hebben ze het recht om dit te weigeren zonder de vrees om uit het leger te worden gezet. Ze zijn niet toegestaan om te vechten samen met de Nederlanders tegen ons, als dit gebeurt worden de soldaten uit het leger geplaatst. Belgen zullen hun orders in het Nederlands krijgen en innen dezelfde fondsen als alle andere soldaten.
Als jij een Belg bent en je wilt je in de Belgische afdeling inschrijven als soldaat of als commandant laat ons dit dan weten via het forum of hier als reactie op het artikel.

SBJ, this is been in congres. There is a majority on the voting.
This is how its going to be.
We are not afraid to fight against them, it is just that Belgium and Holland are both very similar to each other and it would be like England going to (modern) war against Scotland.
There\'s a RL precedence for this, Slim: the Belgian Independent Parachute Company was formed in Malvern Wells (Worcs) on 8 May 1942. In 1943 they became part of the Special Air Service Brigade as 5th SAS Regiment and served with distinction in the Normandy Campaign, being the first allied troops into Belgium and Germany.
I\'m glad this went forwards. It will help the Dutch speaking community to understand instructions to go fight. It\'ll make our army stronger with more fighters. And hopefully will erase the division between England, Scotland, Wales, NI and Belgium.
I can see how their similarities with the Netherlands makes them uneasy... but it\'s not like we\'re going to war with the Netherlands!

that\'s not what the article is saying. we have no intention of fighting the Netherlands anyway. They are only in the MA because they misunderstood the whole UK-Belgium merger in the first place, much in the same way that you did, Frantz

We are UNITED Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Belgium, we fight together.
I see this as a sensible and pragmatic way of ensuring maximum efficiency from our Belgian troops. Just as we would form a Scottish Regiment (because they all have a common bond that ties them together in battle) - the formation of a Belgian Brigade is a move that will maintain maximum cohesion when the time comes to fight (and I am sure that it will in the near future)!
Isnt organizing an all Belgian platoon simply organizing their resistance for them?
There is no need for a \'resistance\' as if a significant majority want independence they will get it, need to fight for it as they are not \'occupied\' and weren\'t \'invaded\' in the first place
And the opt-out clause was not was approved in congress. I agree with that point

I notice a lot of people see this as a bad thing for the eUK, but I think it\'s the contrary:
Before, there were very few belgians who were active in the eUK army. Since we\'ll be following orders from the eUK\'s MoD , we\'ll make the eUKs army stronger.
This is actually a way to unite eBelgium and the eUK instead of dividing them

No he didn\'t: there\'s a big difference. Australia is, regrettably, part of Indonesia and Croatia and Lithuania don\'t exist as eCountries yet. You\'re confusing minorities with actual constituent countries of the United Kingdom (you do realise that Poland isn\'t part of the UK in real life, don\'t you?)

Personally I think it defeats the object of having a Belgian platoon that communicates in their first language, Dutch, if one of them needs a translator.
