A Foreign "Affairs" Piece [eSerbia Edition]

Day 5,202, 12:28 Published in USA USA by Kody5

One of the things that has always interested me in eRep is the people. I've always enjoyed foreign affairs and meeting new people. eRepublik is a great place for it. I get to pretend to be the rock while meeting random people in random countries all over the eworld. a pretty fun hobby for someone with too much time on their hands like me.

I'd like to start a series of at least 3 editions which shine a light on how we get along with our allies and the nations in our alliance.

One of the nations whose people I've met and known for awhile is the people of eSerbia. I'd like to share with everyone my experience with one of our main allies, how we became allies, and what we both see in our futures as nations. I want this to be the inside scoop on how we get along with our allies and how we can resolve any issues we may have, if we have any.

My experiences with Serbia have ranged pretty far from my time in eRepublik. In past years, we were enemies, almost exact opposites in every battle. We fought each other quite a lot. We spent many hours cursing each other from across our computer screens.

Earlier, during my return, I learned that those feelings had changed dramatically. We are in an alliance together, consistently fighting in each other's battles, and each of our countries' leaderships are in constant talks with one another. Times have changed over the years, and eSerbia seems to be a true ally to eAmerica.

I met with the eSerbian MoFa MarkoZivancevic, a friend who i knew from years ago on eRep, and we talked about how we were getting along as allies. I wanted to write down here, for everyone to see, what eSerbians thought of us and how we became friends.

I started by asking how we became allies. We became allies when we joined Asteria, he informed me. The first joint operation we did together was an airstrike against Croatia in the battle of Limpopo. We managed to win those rounds and take a lead against a strong enemy in eCroatia. When we joined together, it gave us the possibility of winning rounds which we did not have apart.

This wasn't that long ago, but it was a neat history lesson for me, since I was inactive during that time frame. After our joint battle together, the United States joined Asteria to make our friendship official. I asked Marko what he thought about our future as allies. He stated that many Serbians had tanks registered with the US and that our people should continue to cooperate as much as possible. We should coordinate our efforts together and try to advance ourselves in that way.

I tend to agree with Marko. Our nations will only be stronger if we work together. It is important that we work together as our chief enemy, Croatia, is very strong in today's eworld.

I'd like to add a few opinions of my own to the last chapter of this article. There are some issues between us. No nation can only have citizens who have good will towards each other. Some people in each nation will dislike one another; some will refuse to fight together and choose to not direct their damage where it's needed. Others will fight against each other in key battles. For those few who are like this, I seek to remove these barriers. This is a game of numbers, and those in both nations who want to see their countries thrive should want us to work together well. In eRep, our countries are stronger together. A battle can be lost due to the apathy of someone who will not take a battle seriously because of the flag that flies on its banner. For America and Serbia, a win for one nation is a win for the other. We seek to further each other's goals with almost every action we take.

We are only stronger together. A stronger alliance, as well as stronger nations individually

May the friendship between the USA and Serbia continue to prosper!
